I know camp just started but I have to ask this question, ok.

I say that we will have 5 guys active and at least 1 or at the most 2 on the PS. Here are my guys:

Ted Ginn - #9 pick of the draft
Chris Chambers - the best of the rest
Derek Hagan - they love this guy ( is picked to beat out M.Booker)
Kerry Reed - he beats out Hakim
David Sutton - because I just like this guy
Michael Malone - Practice Squad

Marty Booker gets traded and San/Hakim get cut.

Ok guys lay it on me.

I don't think Marty is going any where. It's a possibilty, but I think we want to make sure Derek is as good as he's being advertised before we axe Book. However, I do feel this is his last year, the drafting of Ginn and possible emergence of Hagan makes him expendable after the season.

Ok why do you want to get rid of booker, he's the only receiver last season whom did anything, get rid of kerry reed.

Well we have our number 1 guy in Chambers, and if you've been reading anything Cam has said, they love Hagan, and we just took a receiver with the 9th pick. Sooner or later, Booker is out of here. I chose later (being after the season.)

I tend to agree that the team would love to get rid of Booker in favor of a rookie with potential. For all of you "why get rid of Booker" fans, yes he has moderate production every year, and yes he has experience, but the answer to that question is simple.... Booker is what he is. Nothing special; made the ProBowl once as the number 1 guy on the Bears, but not likely to do it again. He is fairly reliable, although I have seen him drop passes and fumble quite a bit over the years. He is a known quantity, and that quantity is marginally above average. I like Booker, but I would rather see an unknown quantity with huge upside. I would like to take a chance on finding the next Colston. We have some young talent that I believe can be at least as solid as Marty, and maybe much, much better.

The only thing I think that might be better on this list is having Chambers, Hagen, Ginn, Sam, and Hakim, with Reed and Sutton on PS. Reed goes if they only keep 5+1 (not counting Reed's nice showing in rookie camp since the other guys have more to go on. Reed would have to really beat out someone to make the squad).
:)

Chambers,Hagan,Ted Ginn, kerry reed, Marty Booker(for a year as 3rd n 4th reciever or traded), David Sutton(practice squad convert him to TE for next year)

Chris Chambers our best reciever
Marty Booker still better than al the other guy we have
Derek Hagan sounds like the coachs like him
Ted Ginn 9th over all pick

After that I dont know who is going to on theteam for sure but I think it will go to hakim

Practice scuade

No we picked a returner with the 9th pick. If he gets on the field in a regular season game it will be as a returner. Booker is ten times more valuable to this team than Ginn.

I don't believe that Hakim will beat out Ginn, IF he shows up in camp on time

Quite possible. I just see Ginn not getting a full time receiver slot until he develops at the position. I can see early on Ginn being used in special lineups or "gadget plays" when he only has learned a couple routes.

I don't believe he will be given that much of a role until he is settled and proven stable in the Special teams games. I don't think they'll overload his responsibiliteis to soon.

Until then i think Hakim will take the bottom reciever spot. Pending how fast ginn develops and can handle more responsibilities is how long hakim will be there.

I think having Green now we have to keep Booker for this season. Hagan and Ginn havnt proven to be starting material yet and with Welker gone having Marty around with Chambers as our vet WR's its a must that we keep Booker. Booker will be gone after this season.

I dont think we get rid of Booker this year, but long term, i see it happening, especially if Hagan improves again this year, and Ginn proves himself as an NFL receiver. I also see Sam making the practice squad.

What if Sutton plays well when the pads go on mate? I think hes a sleeper, alot of ppl have him as a future TE but with his size i think he can be utilized at numerous Catching positions if he continues to improve.
