wtf did TS do with our OL?

Again, just because Carey isn't a pro-bowl RG doesn't mean he is a scrub. I suspect he will be MORE than solid at RG.

While the O-Line was never stellar last season, it wasn't horrible at the beginning of the season. But as the injuries mounted and the backups came in, the quality of O-Line play decreased, shocker! And don't forget, we lost 3 games almost exclusively due to poor special teams play.

The year before last, our O-Line was good. It was our Defense that cost us the most, hence the DC replacement.

Exactly in 08 and 09 our O-line was pretty dang good.

Can't help injuries, and Sporano wasn't the guy who made those contracts. So the argument about the high priced players is not that fair.

Also, I stress this again, Sporano and Ireland weren't calling the shots until this year. Parcells himself admitted this. I don't understand why some people still wanna blame them for this

We've got a new OC and offensive playbook.

CANADIANFISHFAN: yeah, an oc who ran an offense that [some how] was WORSE than ours!!!

your acting like we brought in the second coming of bill walsh and cant figure what the nay saying is all about. it doesnt compute. the fans are not happy because its the same old plot, conservative, no name joes draft. one decent f/a and a bunch of cast off, iffy, injured maybe's. like i said above, were a broken record!!

year after year after year after year after year after year.........after year after year, etc...... we have the same issues on the forums. some of us point out the mistakes and continuing bad moves by a stuborn, archaic front office and staff while others come in with their endless "oh, the sky is falling, boo-hoo-hoo, and their cute chicken little pictures" and chastise us all and saying how premature it is, were not real fans, we dont know football, we dont know how a franchise is built, you gotta give them more time, etc...... .

but in the end, who has the argument OVER WHELMINGLY favored over the last dozen years? wheres the superbowls? the playoff wins? the productive drafts and free agents? where? very few have panned out. FEW!!!!!

it aint the chicken little crowd but the ones who see the same old thing and demand a change, a fresh, modern approach, a regime who knows talent and isnt afraid to go get it. a franchise who knows how to draft.

sorry, but you guys arguments towards the disgruntled, show us and we'll believe fans, hold no water any longer. apparently, this is the same old same old by the moves they have made [or lack of them] so again, we take them to task. could this be the year it changes? a long shot, but anything can happen in this world. if they do change, we will change. untill then, all this sky is falling, your not real fans, give them a chance, why are you picking on them stuff has NO merritt and is un warrented!!!!!

The more disturbing question about our OL I have is why do our guards, like Thomas and Jerry, flame out after a year. They seemed to have great potential their rookie years and then ... fizzle. Don't get it.

And all you represent is the EXACT same thing fans have wanted over the years. Get rid of guy A now because guy B is supposed to be some god. Before you posted if you read any of my posts today you'll find I state that change simply won't mean success. You act like because we didn't brin in someone with a "name" that we automatically suck. Well to enlighten your mind.. we've brought in a SB winning coach in Johnson, a hotshot college coach in Saban, a highly touted OC in Cameron and none of them brought us a championship.

And no it wasnt the same thing every year... simply the same result.

I sure miss the days of our offensive line before Sparano. Oh the Glory days of Anthony Alabi and Cory Lekkerkerker. Just saying Lekkerkerker in some bars could get your face slapped.

•79 Anthony Alabi T
•72 Vernon Carey T
•66 Rex Hadnot G
•71 Cory Lekkerkerker G/T
•76 Chris Liwienski G
•63 Gene Mruczkowski G/C
•68 Ike Ndukwe G
•64 Samson Satele C
•70 L. J. Shelton T
•65 Julius Wilson

what about Joe Toledo? lmfao

is this sparano's fault? the point of this thread seems to be give sparano the guru crap. But its up to the individual to make their mark. I am glad that coach has seen that these guys arent measuring up. then you move on.

BTW, I am feeling good about our Oline. Is it perfect yet? no. But moves have been made.

The thing i find interesting from haters is that we drafted a center and they hate the pick. Now were bitchin about Oline? seriously? where were u people during draft? we need some more OL drafted cus you can never have enough good ones!

Murtha is developing nicely. We have the Center position locked down. We know that Carey is the RG. The battle is over LG and RT. People have forgoten Willis was just signed and has not really played yet. Seriously? I mean, do you people know anything or really think about anything real other than periferal bull $hit?

you sound like my naggin wife when she gets home from her personal vacation and the dishes were not done.

How is it TS's fault that Carey is a lazy turd that won't put in the work now that he has his big contract.

I know right? its pretty crazy to think a Head Coach should have to do whatever it is he does AND get the players ready and motivated to play. We need to hire like a pump me up guy or something so our coach doesn't have to worry about this motivational crap.

this guy comes in here is handed the # 1 pick in the entire draft takes a franchise LT already has a prowbowler in Carey a few promising players as well and wht does this ex OL coach do ,well he Fuks us hard and we r still trying to figure out just who will be are starters this year.now we take Pouncey in the first with Long n Carey and it would look like we have a good start to a great line.
for some reason i dont think we will b ok this year on the OL n our QB'S will get killed game in n game out.
who thinks we will have a top 10 OL and just wht players will be playing?:(:(:(

PENTHOS:

of course he didnt. but what he did do is bring those no talent scrubs into the fold all the while ignoring skilled talent. there was a show on nfl network a few weeks back and the host said that teams like miami are living in the past. the pats are the model because instead of going out and stock piling o and d linemen, they build with talent at the SKILL POSITIONS and fill in with the supporting cast as the eagles and packers do it. its a new nfl, its a passing leauge and POINTS win championships, not 3 yds and a cloud of dust. the dolphins need to get on board with the new nfl........

and they are SOOOOO RIGHT!!!! every year we do the same thing, its the o-line's fault for all our ills and every year, same scenerio. were like a broken record. you put the eagles skill players with our o-line [which ever version] of last year and you think there a strength by years end!! tonys at fault for living in the past and concentrating on building some phantom dominating o-line year after yearthat never comes to fruition! and he isnt the o-line guru he was made out to be by bill p. so those two things combined are tonys fault.

ALL SILVER: cary a probowler? really? when? 4th alternate in some year? the guy has needed to be dealt for the last 3 years. he folds at the worst times, usually on a 3rd and critical his guy will come around and beat him to the qb or rb. cary was never any big time player. miami just seems to be HOARDERS, they refuse to chuck out the trash and treat a lot of mediocre playeres like future, untouchable hall of famers. our rosters have been plugged up with stale players for years costing us room for upgrades.

while i agree with you whole heartedly about this o-lines woes, cary was no big deal and shouldnt ever have "pro bowl" associated with his name.

yeah i know the pats with the skill posistions won the superbowl in 07 . . against the giants with the guys in the trenches. . . oh wait . .

the pats won with that older school more parcells like core i the early 2000s and dont forget belicheat is from that coaching tree. . what have they won since then? the year breese almost broke marinos record passing they sucekd. . then they get a running game and D and they win the superbowl . . the Steelers, yeah ALL skill positios there, no running game/defense. . yeah .. . the jets going to 2 AFC championships and beating the pats. . yup all skill positions. . . nfl network is retarded. football is built in the trenches. period. you can have some nice shiny paint and rims on your car but if the engine and fuel pump dont work you aint going newhere. so tired of this "new NFL" crap.

I think his fault is having one of the most expensive lines in the NFL and not getting one the best performances our of it!!!

And he was supposed to be an OL guru. However now that Garner is back I think he starts on the RT spot, he was looking very solid at OG before he got hurt, and he should be better than Columbo.

Long Pouncey Incognito Carey Garner/Jerry (This is the formation I like, until Pouncey learns the Center position)

? Until he learns the position???? This is tiresome. Pouncey is our center. Needs to and will start from day 1 and and for his career. Everyone keeps sayin TS moves the line around too much and then there those that want to put Pouncey at G at first and then what, move him to C a year later, two years later. Come on, enough with it. Long is our LT, Pouncey is our C and Carey is our RG. Garner is going to fill either the RT or LG position. I think our best option is to bring McKinney in and have Garner at LG. Long-Garner-Pouncey-Carey-McKinney. Set it up and stay with it. Draft a RT in next years draft. Any line that has Incrapito starting is a bust.

anytime incognito is your starting left guard and the current version of mark colombo your starting right tackle somebody deserves a **** load of blame

a whole heapin full

Hadnot and Shelton weren't that bad. Shelton especially was a behemoth in the run game, and I vividly remember us just pounding the rock on his side mercilessly against the other team.

yeah i get it. incognito and columbo the new punching bags. Better get some more OL in the draft next year! LOL
