Idk, a couple Tannehill passes thrown better he would've had a monster game.

2nd half was alot better for both of them. It was against Revis too, which is even more impressive.
 
The defense played its best when Misi, Ellerbe, and Wheeler were all off the field. Coincidence? I think not
 
Clay and Sims both dropped easy passes. Sims let a 40 yard td just fall away. Clay could've had a 20 yard catch and run too.

Sad attempts at catching the ball.

That was a beautiful throw. The fact that Sims dropped it does not change that fact.

Its just like the would be INT Tannehill threw that bounced off the defenders hands and was almost caught for a TD had Wallace been able to see it. Just because it wasnt an INT, does not mean it went unnoticed.

I really dont care about "paper". Tannehill played poorly in the 1st half and if he plays like that often, we will not be successful. But, if he plays the way he did in the 2nd half, this team can be a real force. The defense is good enough that he really just needs to not play poorly. He does not even have to be spectacular, especially with decent cornfed and a runner like Moreno in there.

When was the last time us Dolphins fans have been treated to such a dominant 2nd half performance after getting owned in the 1st half?

I agree, Tannehill had a meh game. Still scored 30. Last year we'd get blown out and have 17 points.

A different approach and commitment to the run changes everything.
 
The phins should go to a 4-2-5 full time. You can rotate Tripp (when healthy), Jenkins, Misi, & McCain in at LB.

Ryan & the DL started slow, but... its how finish not how you start.

To number1fin... Where in the blue hell did you get that photo in your sig? Its amazing, phenomenal, yada yada yada... don't ever take it down.
 
Not sold on Tannehill because of his accurcacy issues but his reads are a ton better. However when Tannehill was on some of his receivers let him down. That throw to Sims was perfect and Wallace should have had that sideline TD.

Yes, don't get me wrong, Tannehill was not good in the first half at all. I missed the first drive, did not see it, but I was told the fumble was RT's fault for a bad pass behind him. But at the same time, Mike Wallace had some not-so-good plays himself. The big problem is that the two of them just keep making bonehead mistakes when they try to hook up. It's like they're jinxed or something. First Tannehill throws an awful ball, then Wallace drops one.
 
I agree with most of what you said minus BJGE. I just don't see the upgrade.

Yep. I do not care about Tannehill's stats.

All I want him to do is lead an offense that puts points on the board. I want him to make all of the easy throws. When guys are wide open for big plays and/or TDs, make the play. Do not leave points on the field. Make all of those easy throws where guys are running wide open across the field correctly. Put the ball where the player can continue running full speed and give them a chance to make the play. That is what I care about.

If Tannehill just does those things, we will score about 27 points per game, which is more than enough for us to win a bunch of games and make the playoffs. I do not need him to make miraculous plays or fit perfect throws into tight windows when nothing is open or there is an easier throw available. Keep avoiding rushers and throwing the ball away. Just make the plays that are there and we will score plenty. He has decent cornfed and a rushing attack to work with this season.

What a game, at 23-20 up and 3 and out after 3 and out I thought the Pats were going to take it.
On D so much credit for Coyle today, I haven't been his biggest fan but bar the Pats 2nd drive where they took us apart the D was great, especially the D line which shut their run game down which was a big surprise. Think with the Pats oline coach retiring they are in for a fight this year. 3 LBs injured and still the Pats couldn't capitalise, a few biased non calls from the officials and we still come out on top.
On O tale of two halfs, first half poor especially turnover wise, second half very impressive. Never saw us having a dominant running game but again Wilfork, Mayo etc. we owned them today. Yes Moreno was fantastic, really amazing, but the oline with 5 new starters was exceptional. Only one sack too on a delayed blitz that worked perfectly. Tannehill's accuracy the first half was poor and 2nd half was pretty good, stat wise is doesn't look amazing but once again he has beaten Brady.
 
This was a TEAM win. And that's what makes it so sweet. Just about everyone contributed (even despite their earlier mistakes). We didn't have to rely on Tannehill to play a great game or the defense to keep the Pats scoreless. A lot of players had a moment where he made a play. Conversely several players had a moment where he gave up points, but they didn't just give up on the game, they kept working, made up for it with a play, and the team held on to win by a comfortable margin.
