Cant you just see it coming? It happening all over again. How many similarities are there between not only Sparano and Wrongstedt in and of themselves, but what about how the teams crumbled?
First look at Dave and Tony.
1)Both complete morons.
2)Both put too much emphasis on their area of supposed expertise. Although I will say Wrongstedt had a helluva defense thanks largely to Zach and JT, but a strong D nontheless, whereas Tony cant seem to get his OL together.
3)Both over emphasized the rushing attack.
4)Both neglected the QB position as if it were the least of their concerns.
5)Running the ball, not turning it over, and defense. Same formula. Same results.
6)Watching either one attempt to speak at a presser or to the media in general is like watching science projects being presented in special ed classes.
7)Finally a very key similarity. Both were forced on us, placed into jobs that were way over their heads by supposed geniuses of the game who they happened to be close friends with. JJ only stayed one more season on the condition Wrongstedt would be handed the job when he left. Mr. H fell for it. Parcells only took his fake job and all that cash on the condition he could hire who he wanted as GM and HC. Mr. H fell for it. And all of us have suffered greatly as a result.
Now, while Im not kidding about this post in general, and I wanted to try and keep it somewhat serious so the few left who still believe in Sparano might wake up, Ive already thrown a few jokes/snide comments out there and used a few silly names like Wrongstedt instead of Wannstedt. But, I really wanted to try and make an entire post without cursing and going all ape****. So I have to apologize in advance. Im going to talk about Bill Parcells a bit more now, and Ive realized that it seems as though its just impossible for me not to curse when speaking of that worthless piece of ****, master troll, mega fraud, Bill Parcells.
Where the hell did people ever get the idea that Bill Parcells knew how to build a team in the first place? Because he made some presser with a clever line about shopping? Just because this guy rolls off a few witty comments during practices while NFL films is taping or says something catchy in a press conference, it dosent make him some genius when it comes to running a team. The guy was a HC. Plain and simple. And from where I sit, Im not so sure he wouldve ever been a successful one had it not been for Bill Belichick. Parcells didnt put that Giants team together. They had a real GM then. Just because he whined about not being able to do it himself, didnt qualify him to do so. Not only that, those teams were put together in the late 80s. It was a different NFL at that time. **** Bill Parcells.
And what about his time at Dallas you say? Want to tell me he turned that franchise around? Bull****. How many playoff games did they win? Let me tell you what Parcells did in Dallas. He did the same bull**** he did with the phins. The biggest difference is he got lucky and got an above average, but not great QB to fall out of the ****ing sky and hit him in the head. All he did was build the rest of the team fairly well. If you recall, he brought in Bledsoe to play QB. A guy from his days in NE. Real similar to what he did bringing in Pennington. That team was decent with Bledsoe just as we were with Noodle. Once Bledsoe fell apart, he just happened to luck up and Romo turned out to be ok, because he completely ignored the QB position just like he did here. The difference......we havent gotten lucky yet. Henne is ****ing trash and unless Pat Devlin is another luckbox find, were ****ing screwed at QB. Same ****, different day. Even still, Romo isnt good enough to win titles with. Never will be either. So going that route of just hoping a QB falls in your lap isnt going to work for us either.
Parcells is the biggest fraud in NFL history. He knows absolutely nothing about getting a QB, just like his boy Sparano. Bill taught him well. Sparano made sure to get every whiff of that bull**** info he could while he was brown nosing in Dallas.
If I ever cross paths with Bill Parcells, I will curse his *** something harsh. Now if I happen upon him in a supermarket or something where children may be and there is every expectation there should be, he would be lucky. Dont let me find him somewhere like a casino though where children have no right to be and any parent who has them there in the first place should expect they may expose them to adult language. In fact, I know his pathetic *** is up at Saratoga right now losing all the money he stole from Mr. H. Im not big on horse racing, but I certainly enjoy gambling, so perhaps one year I should make the journey. Dont let me see you Bill you worthless ********er. I will get 86'd from the joint. Back to Wrongstedt and Moron.o now. How about the similarities of how the franchise itself has gone during their time as HC.
1) Wrongstedt did manage to take us to the playoffs, but several seasons ended with us folding late in the year despite a strong defense and rushing attack thanks to inept play at QB. How did the last 2 seasons go for the phins?
2) Both made big splashes by trading multiple draft picks for supremely talented skills position players who just happened to have serious mental health issues. Its getting kinda scary at this point isnt it?
3) Last question, Wrongstedts last season, when Ricky quit, the phins went 4-12. Didnt they just miss the playoffs the two previous seasons, including one where we actually won 10 games and didnt get in? Werent those seasons fairly similar to our last 2? Cant you just see it happening all over again? If Brandon Marshall quits on us, then you know its coming for sure.
But, isnt the same recipe laying right there beside the stove as we see this season begin to cook up? I see it coming a mile away.
Didnt we have a strong defense the year before the 4-12 debacle? Wasnt that defense just as strong the next season and we still only won 4 games because our offense was totally inept? Its happening again.
Someone make it ****ing stop. I cant watch. Someone step in and save this franchise for christ sakes. Havent we suffered enough? Are we really going to be forced to watch more of this ****?
What happens if Long is injured or plays and the injury gets worse? What happens if Marshall checks out on us as well? Are these new RBs going to be nearly as effective as Ricky and Ronnie? Just those 3 things right there and our offense will be pathetic folks. Thats all it will take. Hell, it could be that bad even if Long plays. We have Henne at QB.
I dont care how good the defense is, we have seen that 4-12 is possible with an offense bad enough to supercede what the defense brings. It can happen. Why do I get the sense it will?

I know we drafted 2nd the following year when that **** happened, but there will be teams that do worse than 4-12. My money is on Washington. They are starting John Beck for christ sakes and they have much less talent on the rest of the roster than we do. Washington is making a run at Luck.
Fortunately, of all the teams who needed a QB going into this offseason, only Washington and Miami did NOTHING to improve their situation. Both failed to draft a QB, trade for a QB, or bring in a notable FA at QB. The other teams that could be in the mix, are not as much of a threat. Seattle added a great TE who will help the bum they signed to play QB. Not to mention playing in that division should get them a couple of wins. If Denver starts Orton, they make it much tougher to lose games for themselves. Out in San Fran, I dont see Harbaugh tanking in his first season and they also play in a weak division.
A lot of the other teams(like the Bungles) who could definately do worse than 12 losses drafted a QB this year. So 4-12 could definately put us in a spot to get one of the other 2 QBs who will be at the top of the draft charts next year. I just dont see how we beat out Washington for the top spot. Playing John Beck at QB will lock down a top draft pick like no one else can.
