I have no idea how there is not already a thread about this dude!? Rookie, first game back from injury, and he balls out like a vet. Yeah he doesn't have the stats Lippet had this game but damn it looks like we maybe set at one corner postiton.

Howard and Maxwell on the field together with Suh and Wake playing like they did tonight, and we are close to being elite. The only missing piece is improved LB play. Alanso was just not where he needed to be. Powell was his man and he got beat. That is worrisome.

agreedbut dont sleep on Lippett...i think were set at both CB spots between X,T-Lip and BMaxx...heck even mccain played well tonite...just need them all to stay healthy

Yeah run D is a concern for sure, but not a Maxwell fan myself. Hope they let him go and address it in FA or draft.

Im not worried about Kiko..did he play great, no; but he didnt play bad either...he had a huge stop on 4th and short and made a buncha tackles, albeit Powell may have gotten the best of him at times...powell is very underrated

yeah, I was extremely impressed with X Howard... he was 1v1 on Marshall most of the game when Maxwell went out and was great! first game back as well!

Kiko played ok, not great, but better than any LBer by far last week. I saw Alonso miss a couple of tackles he would normally make but that had a lot to do with his grip on his right hand, being in a cast and all. He would've likely stayed with Powell on a few more plays if he didn't have that bum hammy either.

edit- Xavien Howard looks like he's been doing his homework since he left. Looked fantastic against Brandon Marshall and Enunwa. Pretty sure he only gave up 2 or 3 passes for minimal gain all night and had a handful of PBU's.

Our best corner since week 1. Isnt even close

Very impressive game for Howard. He looked like an elite corner in this win. Can't wait to see what he does the rest of the season against some better competition.
