No question he came on later in the season, and considering how much he was injured as a rookie, that makes sense. But, no way he was the 6th best. And, it's worth noting, that he was very handsy and got away with a lot of uncalled stuff later in the year, that was worse than stuff called against him earlier in the year.
At the end of the day, I'm excited that he seems to be turning the corner. But, it is the looking forward part that has me excited, not the past performance part. I've been a huge X. Howard fan since before we drafted him, and I sang his praises pre- and post-draft. So I'm very happy to see him turning the corner. With the good flashes Tankersley showed, plus X's late performances, and the positive improvement Lippett showed last year and this past training camp ... things are looking up in the CB department.
