This is how legends are made.
Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard, playing on the national stage Monday night, twice picked off arguably the greatest quarterback — if not player — in NFL history, keying Miami’s stunning win over Tom Brady and the Patriots.
And in the moment, he has rarely felt worse.
A horrendous stomach bug hit Howard on Monday morning, and he spent all day — and night — puking. He even threw up on the sidelines in between defensive series.

Gag me with a fork. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big X. Howard fan and I'm ecstatic he had such a great game. But, Brady as the greatest player ever .... puke.

And let's be clear here, X played exactly the same way he played in college, and he benefitted from some refs who really let the DB's play. In Foxboro, that would have been a flag-fest. It was a good game, and he's having several these days. Let's hope it continues and flows into next year. But, he still needs to watch his hands.

Yes. I agree. What QB's have transcended systems?

We can make a thread in the general NFL section for this discussion...I'm sure the admins would like us to stay on topic about Howard being a beast while being sick.

Yeah, well that's an argument in a vacuum and good luck proving it. Quit being a homer and admit it. GOAT
Well there's no way to prove it per say... But we can prove the other side of the equation... What's BB's record with Brady's backups?

And what happens to those backups when they leave the Pats?

Who was Brady before BB?

Ummm, I can think of one. Dan Marino had one system under Shula and a dramatically (bad) different system under run-on-first-down Jimmy Johnson. Under Johnson, he was always in a hole on 3rd down, yet he managed to save the bacon.
