The D. played with no fire. Especially the front 7. Not saying the db's played well. They did not. But when Brady had no one to throw to he sat back in the pocket, took a sip of tea, and waited until someone came open. Last year was different. At least the first two games were different. I really do think this game is going to tell if Tony will keep his job. If they have another bad showing, I think Ross will not keep him unless they are a 10-6 or maybe a 9-7 team.

Yeramiah was a bullfrog...he was a good friend of mine...i never understood a single word he said...but I helped him drink
his wine.

sparano is on the hot seat without a doubt. Ross is getting sick of his "promises" to compete with teams like the patriots and than gettin blown out not only at home but on national television.

I don't think he keeps his job at 9-7 unless we somehow sneak into the playoffs (which is highly doubtful) and win a game (which is even more doubtful). Even going 10-6 wouldn't save his job if we get swept by the Pats and Jets.

Not sure why the incredible falling down of the Defense falls soley on Sparano?

What disturbs me, as the OP pointed out, Tammy Buttchin had all freakin day to pass, and that was with a very bad O-line and a center that has no business playing center to begin with....yet Magic Mike couldn't dial up a defense to get that ****y little ******* on his behind? That disturbs me LOTS!!!

I don't think physical exhaustion and "fire" can co-exist.

A shortened training camp, mixed with extended drives against a no-huddle offense, will exhaust you and sap your fire.

If our players were that out shape we should have just thrown up the white flag when brady came out in the no huddle than.

The play of the defense was the most disappointing. After the 2 embarrassing losses last season I really felt the defense had this game circled on their calendars and I expected the D-line to dominate the game.

At one point I think saw Brady having a sandwich and a beer in the pocket.

Nothing falls on Tony Sparano. Why should the head coach be responsible for the way his players play, or the coaches that coach them?

Lol looks like Nolan is the early favorite for the 2011 Finheaven scapegoat!

I still have to wonder why the defense thought they could come out and hang with the patriots on monday night football and do without bringing fire and passion to the table....

coaches, players... it doesn't matter, how the hell did you think you'd just stroll out at 8:00 and have a walk in the park and leave your intensity in the locker room?

Nolan didnt get a chance to adjust obviously. tommy boy wouldnt allow him. then confusion sets in with all players including ones who come in to replace.

its not hard to figure out. I just didnt see any adjustment after seeing this in first half. that is why nolan is the scapegoat.

patriots in first game of the year sucks. next year aint happenin. should be the jets IMO. then they lose.
