Anyone know his status? This guy is a ball hawk at safety. When we recovered the fumble yesterday I didn't even have to look to know he was around the pile. We finally look to have a legit safety and I hope we can lock him up for a long time. What a difference in the secondary. If Allen ever gets really comfortable we have 3 tough fast guys back there. That would be some nice depth especially if we can keep them locked up for a few years.

Im sure he'll get an extension. I hope so at least. This is his 3rd year and Im assuming he has a 4 year contract

i said this in another thread ... he is one of the best safties i have ever had the pleasure watching as a miami dolphins fan... at least we can't knock the wanny/speilman, decision to draft this guy in the 7th round. if it weren't for is injury... bell would have been drafted in the 4th or 5th round... i love watching bell play... he is all over the field... his ball skills are up there with some of the best safties in the game... to bad injuries held him back or else he'd have been in the starting line-up sooner...

Bell and Jason Allen are they same type of safties ?

Well if you guys remember the Adewale Ogunleye contract situation

I think Y.BELL fall in that same category. The Fins only need to offer a qualifying offer to keep Bell for the next 2 season

If a Team really want Bell as they starting Safety, offering him a contract would mean draft pick for the Fin (1st or 3rd)

He and Welker are two RFA's who need extensions before the end of this season. No question.

The thing with Welker is if he is offered a contract the team will not have to give up a draft pick if we decided not match there offer because he was undrafted...unless we give him a tag...

He is a restricted free agent. Same with Lemon and Welker. They will all be easy to be re-signed.

yea but the dolphins kinda have a 1 and 2 safety and if they both make playe i dont care

I just hope since we have some money this offseason we use some to get guys like Bell locked up that can be around for awhile and while they are still affordable.
