YAHOO NFL Rankings: The amazing rise of Miami Dolphins behind rookie coach Adam Gase

If only Stills hadn't dropped that beautiful bomb.. we'd be sitting relatively pretty instead of sweating it out.

If this team fails to make the playoffs, letting Tennessee beat them at home and allowing AJ Green to single-handedly beat them in Cincy are the two games that this team should really regret.

There should be no regrets after this season. It's already a winning season, anything beyond that is icing on the cake. It will be nice if it happens, but next year is when I will get my hopes up for a real playoff run.

Even if we fail to make the playoffs, I won't be too upset. We did lose our starting QB after a rocky start. Just to still be in that conversation with a real chance is pretty remarkable for this team that's been so bad for so long.

This team is going to be fun to watch next year, let me tell you that. This was our rebuilding year. I repeat, this was our rebuilding year.

Now the head coach is established, the head coach has gained clout, the head coach knows exactly what kind of players he wants and has seen what he has on the roster. And most importantly, we now have a core of starters who are comfortable playing in his extremely complicated offense.

Get hyped.

Damn straight. Gase has all the clout. If we make it to the playoffs, FAs will be excited to come here. We have some good pieces on the Oline, nice young power back, some different skilled other backs, young talented receivers, and a 6 year vet QB second year in the system. re-sign Stills, find a better backup C, sign a new RG, and keep Albert. Keep as mush of the offense together as we can. On D, two premier DL in Suh and Wake, re-sign Branch, see what Jordan can turn into if anything and draft a young stud to learn behind these guys. Keep Kiko, somehow draft Foster if he falls out of the top 5, get Jones back healthy and watch our young corners grow. We need to build on our depth but we have lots of money to do such a thing.

I'm very excited to see this team grow. The taste of the playoffs will wet the whistle for them to want to go even more.

I almost hope that Miami doesn't make it this year... my lady's family is celebrating Christmas January 7th. I don't want to be the guy to say "sorry hunny, can't go to Christmas this year."

Well, this team is NOT the 1-4 team fans saw early. That 1-4 was a team learning. A LOT of injuries to key players (yes, I know all teams have injuries). A rookie HC/DC. You're right . . . this team will be fun to watch. 3-4 positions upgraded and it should be QUITE fun to watch. I'd like to see a PO spot, but I'll be optimistic for the first time in a long time, playoff or not.

Where we are at right now is all I hoped for this season; signs of life. I just wanted coach Gase to come in and show that the team is in good hands, and will be headed the right direction. I don't think anyone can deny that has already been accomplished. I really want to win this week, and clinch a playoff spot, but if we miss the playoffs it won't change my outlook. We have a very young team and very young head coach together there should be a bright future. I haven't felt this optimistic about our outlook since 1995 when JJ took over.

If you blow off a family function to watch a football game, it's a mathematical certainty that your team will lose.

The biggest upside from this year is we are perhaps in the right direction after a long long time since JJ as someone else pointed out. However, the upcoming game at Buffalo is the key indicator of our future. We need to win this one; an away game with a team that is beatable. The only motivation they have is to hang onto Rex. A win in Buffalo is a great sign of things to come, even if we don't make the playoffs. Hope we get our Rush defense back in gear. VJ needs to pull a miracle.

I am going to be watching the game with spiked egg nog and the entire family with our dolphins jersey. Converted both my kids and wife in Texas to be phin fans. It has been tough with the Dallas success in 1990's. If they play Houston in the playoff, we will be there at NRG.

In the last decade, its been a mathematical high probability the Dolphins lose on sunday no matter what you did...
