Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland – Perhaps the most embattled executive in the league, Ireland could have easily given in to desperation, particularly after there were so many trades on Thursday (six of the top seven picks, counting St. Louis shipping No. 2 in March, were dealt and the No. 6 pick was traded twice). Instead, Ireland sat tight and got the player he wanted all along in quarterback Ryan Tannehill. This is the first time since 1983 that the Dolphins have used a first-round pick on a quarterback. Frankly, it was about time.

He filled pretty much all needs and got great value on a lot of picks. I'd say it is one of his best, if not the best draft he's had during his tenure.

For sure one of the best draft I've seen in a long while. Must give Jeff, Joe, and their scouting team some well earned kuddos!

I'll wait until I see what our "college boys" do in the NFL. I'm not interested in cleverness, or "draft manipulation", unless success comes with it.

He is and if for nothing else the pick of Tannehill, in my opinion, will give him at least another year.

Man do we need AND are due a monster draft ... GO PICKS!! ... especially QB!! lol

How do you judge a draft honestly on the day players have been taken?
Whatever happened to seeing how things turn out.
Names don't = development.
