26. Miami Dolphins (37-to-1)
The Dolphins, as it stands now, are a projected $5.7 million over the 2016 cap, via OverTheCap.com. Pass rusher Olivier Vernon is a free agent, as is tailback Lamar Miller. Cam Wake is 34 coming off a torn Achilles. The Dolphins will make some moves to get cap relief, and new coach Adam Gase seems to be a good hire, but this Dolphins team was massively disappointing in 2015 and it's hard to see a path to a huge improvement (unless Gase works wonders for Ryan Tannehill, which is possible).

Seems accurate . . . the only path to "some kind of success" in 2016 is several steps forward for Ryan Tannehill. Even still that does not guarantee success but it's the only way that success is possible.

No Dolphins fan who is a realist should be upset at any low ranking or bad criticism they receive. I've always been a glass is half full fan. I'm in the show me stage right now. Fact is, they were a crappy 6-10 team last year with a bunch of holes. Win some games and I'll get excited. In fact, have a winning season. I'll always be a fan but I'm not going to get carried away with anything they do in the offseason.

I saw this and skipped it. I'm not a fan of power rankings in the regular season so I decided not to bother myself with it now.

should be lower coming off of our 2015 season...we were definitely one of the 5 worst teams in football

We're underdogs yet again, just gotta deal with it.
If they can get back to at least 7-9 / 8-8 this year, that's fair progress for a team that should have been in all likelihood 5-11 last year, or with a harder schedule, maybe even 3-13

Honestly, 8-8 with steps taken forward by 17 and promise shown by a young defense would be a really good season for Miami.

I happened to come across this on NFL.com:

24. So Miami really, really wanted Adam Gase. I guess Stephen Ross figured everyone else did, too. The Dolphins didn't just go after Gase hard -- they gave him final say over the 53-man roster. Gase is 37, and he's never been a head coach before. Does that mean he won't succeed? No. But working with Peyton Manning, then Jay Cutler last year -- coupled with his work ethic -- carved an impeccable reputation around league circles. The obvious first question, outside of whether Gase has the skill set requisite to be a successful head coach, is if Ryan Tannehill has the ability to be a successful quarterback.

With the cap issues. We pretty much will be a 8-8 team next year. Too many holes. Very little money.

nearly as useful as the daily pff adverts

Seems about right. It's not like suddenly people are going to rank the fins in the top 10 after last years debacle.
