Im not going to go as far as to say Yeremiah was snubbed as there are some excellent safeties in the AFC. However, i think hes played great this year and is as much a part of our turn around as any player on the team absent maybe Pennington. I truly believ that if he was healthy all of last season we would have had 3 or 4 more wins. While im sure everyone on this site appreciates how solid of a player hes been for us thsis year, i think his contribution goes somewhat unnonticed so i figured it would be appropraite to give him some recognition.

i couldn't agree more and trust me, his efforts have not gone unnoticed

most def a very solid year for Mr Bell.
Pro Bowl safety he might never be staying in the AFC though.
I might give him a nod but everytime I think of him this year I see Andre Johnson doing him up on 4th down..
i know its unfair but damn that play

Sadly the truth of the matter is if Jake Long and Penny couldn't make the cut, our dear Mr. Bell's chances where over before they began. What a shame the Pro Bowl has become such a popularity contest instead of a show of talent. I for one would be pissed if I was a Honolulu ticket holder.

it sucks because what they look at for who goes as a db back is int's something bell doesn't get to many of. so people over look that he plays great coverage and makes plays by stepping up on run support. the man has 104 tackles this year with 2 games to go he is a pro bowler in my mind good job bell! keep up the good work!

And if Will Allen played for the Jets he'd have been named an alternate too. Compare his CB stats to Darrell Revis and it's ridiculous how the league's slurping the Favre soap opera story line:

Allen: 50 tackles 42 solo tackles, 3 interceptions (68yds ret) 1 FF

Revis: 49 tackles 36 solo tackles, 5 interceptions (38 tot yds ret) 1 FF

Note: I'm not saying that Allen deserves to be named; only asserting that he's got as much claim as does a rookie named Revis!

A more subtle yet nevertheless valid example of the league's painting "lipstick on a pig."

i think if it wasnt for chad, id go as far as saying he was our MVP. he has taken control of the DEF and made it a point to be around for a long time...i hope we lock him up for yrs to come. i know he up there in age, but id still like him around.

Unfortunately, as long as Troy Polamalu is healthy Bell won't make it. That is one of the few guys who deserves the name recognition that always gets him in.

I guess he could have gone in instead of Chris Hope....but with that feared Titans D he got looked over.

But over Palamolu or Reed YB had no chance to get in.

Yeremiah Bell is a stud, but hasn't made the big plays to earn the pro bowl recognition. I think he deserves to be there, but I can't really complain about him not making it. I've been waiting 5 years for him to be able to start for an entire season. He is proving all of us who have touted him for years right.

Where's the stat that shows how many yards each corner has given up, and the average yardage receivers get on them..

That is the most important stat when evaluating corners. Last year Allen was near the top of the league in that regard.

he's our Bob Sanders except healthier for a change. I was watching our game last week with a friend when Bell lit someone up, my buddy was like "Who in the hell is that dude?" My response was above.

Bell does make a huge impact for us, it has been proven for us during his career. Look at how well we did in 07 when he was inserted into the line-up, or even the year before when he was the 3rd safety.

However, he doesn't get ints or sacks so he doesn't have impressive stats. Plus, the AFC is loaded with safeties. Polamalu and Reed are heads and shoulders above the field as is Bob Sanders when he's healthy. Chris Hope deserved his pro bowl selection, and his teammate Michael Griffen, probably should've gone.

So I'm not gonna complain about Bullfrog not making the pro bowl because the guys who got in were the right guys
