The following are excerpts from Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell's Wednesday interview on 790-The Ticket:
Q: How different are the coaching styles of Nick Saban and Cam Cameron?
A: "Obviously, the coaching style is a lot different. With Cam, everybody is more relaxed and has a better sense of what's going

great read, i hope he's right about jason allen and hope he gets his extention

It's good to hear that Capers has scaled down his system some, combined with Cameron's actual coaching (and not yelling) could pay dividends. Unfortunately we didn't really need dividends on that side of the ball; but improvement is improvement.

Good stuff, seems like with Saben gone our guys can calm down and play some football.

Q: Can Jason Allen make the switch from safety to cornerback? Can he play in this league?
A: "Yes. Jason can play in this league. That's probably one thing that I've seen with my own eyes is the transition that Jason made from safety to corner. I practiced with the guy every day. He's just making unbelievable plays at corner. I think he's just shocked everybody on the field."

Nice.

My POV... questions like:

Q: With Saban spending so much time with the defensive backs, the way he was always yelling and screaming, did it get annoying after a while?

At the very least, leading... and probably agenda driven.

The media and the fans have an axe to grind regarding Saban, and I'd say it's justified, all things considered. You'll notice that despite that question being very leading, the answer wasn't as diplomatic as you'd expect to hear if someone was interested in being polite. It would appear that the players as well have beef with Saban.

All thing considered... imo... the media and fans need to look at what was accomplished with a train wreck of a franchise in two short years with limited resources like cap space and DP's...

....and if you continue with the Bell article... maybe the reason they were getting yelled at is because they weren't executing their jobs come Sunday...

Saban was not a good coach. He wouldn't give young guys a chance to start on this team or didn't want to change up the roster because of risk. Cam is more of the guy that is the risk reward coach to go for the deep pass on third down or switch it up position wise. With no risk there really is no chance for being good. take our offensive philosophy last year, run and pass 50-50 in the first quarter, then when we were down in the rest of the game pass to run was 80-20 with no passes down the field.

I'm not saying that Saban was/is a poor judge of talent, because I think he's brought some guys in that we'll be seeing for a long time. His attitude and treatment of his personnel, fans, and local media were absolutely horrid however. There is a limit when a yelling, totalitarian figure can no longer gain positive results due to his unconstructive style. We did make gains under him, and in the vacuum that existed due to a no-communication style I thought he was a great coach, and had a system in place to do greater things in the future. The way he handled leaving, and the reports that have since come out proved not only me but every other Saban supporter wrong. There's a bad taste left in everyone's mouth about how he did things. Other than drafting/recruiting talent, I wouldn't have him anywhere near a team.

That question is not leading at all, because its based on something factual. Saban did yell and scream at the players constantly. Its not like they ask, "Wasnt it annoying how Saban yelled at you guys all the time?" No, it asks did it get annoying? Thats a very subtle difference, but makes it a fair question. The answer is telling as well.
