Interviewed by Dave Hyde and Evan Cohen, comparing this present regime with the last two jokers, Bell states that this is the first TC he's been at where he believes the team can win. Team Tuna's going the extra mile with a sense of urgency to win. Totally different mindset from the prior Bozos.

I think each of the last two coaches have ability to coach, but that doesn't make them HC's at this level. Saban "me" loverfest and Cam's laid back Jimmy Buffet type attitude were more a reason we had no edge then anything talent related. I think Miami could have won a lot more games the last 2 years if they had a coach that sees the big picture.

Miami was 1-15 because of Cam Cameron first and injuries second. I think any team in the league can win a SB it just depends on the way the coach approaches the game with the talent they have. Obviously there will need to be changes so each coach can have the type of talent that best fits the system they like to run, but any team can win it all if they simply focus on teamwork and fundamentals.

Yeremiah Bell showed support towards his new/current coaching staff? I'm shocked. I expected him to blast them right off the bat!

Excellent points. Too often people downplay the impact of coaching.
Shula took a pedestrian offense QB'd by Woodley to a SB. A 7-9 season was a disaster for Shula.
Everyone keeps heaping praise on the Pats, but I would argue that the team that won their 1st SB (vs the Rams) wasn't even top 10 in the league in terms of talent.
Coaching is extremely important and Sparano seems like he gets it. Saban let his ego get in the way and Cameron just didn't have the organizational skills to be a top guy.
That's why I really believe the Dolphins will surprise a lot of teams. I'm expecting a 6-8 win season. If one of the QB's surprises we could be looking at a 9-10 win season

you're right about the Pats, and the Rams would demolished them if Martz wasnt such a stubborn coach and actually ran the ball, but he instead decided to continue to pass against dime defenses

Uhm, say what you want about Wannstedt, but Saban was and is a damn good coach. His heart just wasn't in it for this team, or any team.

There was a few mistakes, like Culpepper, his biggest mistake; but everyone knows that was a Mueller choice which put him on Saban's doghouse.

Even so, I think Saban knows how to put a team together. Our players had some really tough camps with him, they were in incredible shape. Kinda hurts to have Mularkey as an offensive coordinator. We did just fine with Linehan the year before and showed great progress.

If Bell was comparing Tony to the "previous 2 jokers", he isn't including Wanny. Since Shula, our coaches have been nothing to rave about. It's sad to think that our best coach since Shula (NOT GM, JUST AS COACH), has been Wanny. I know half of you just had a heart attack with that statement but the record doesn't lie. You can say the Dolphins won in spite of him and he won with JJ's players but he still had a winning record (plus I tend to think saying those things are copouts because you win/lose with what you have) He ran this team into the ground because of his incompetence as a GM and talent evaluator but as a HC, he was the most successful of the bunch. Sad but true.

what do you want him to say. the people in charge now are morons?! lol lol

I have to completely disagree with this statement. Saban was Mueller's boss. Mueller did not become GM until Saban left.

The rumors at the time were that Saban could not decide between Culpepper and Brees. Supposedly he waffled so much that everyone else in the front office was frustrated.

I think your "everyone knows that was a Mueller choice" is baseless and revisionist.

Muller was just the idiot who took Ted Ginn #9 overall though.

didn't stop a lot of the vets from bashing Cam last year, or a guy like Jay Williams bashing Saban (and getting released the day after he said what he said).

But Saban and Cam were 2 extremes. One was a guy that tried to control everything, and the other probably couldn't control a High School team.

well, Saban proved he COULD win, just not sustain it before he finally flaked

he proved he could win for ONE year and proved he could LOSE for ONE year.. 50/50, so actaully IMO he proved nothing

He could have said something more neutral than "for the first time we think we can win".. probably something more ambiguously positive like he probably said for the skumsuckah Saban, inept apologist Wanny and Club Med Cam.

LOL x9
