Impending free agent S Yeremiah Bell indicated following Sunday's playoff loss that he hopes to re-sign with Miami in the offseason.

An enforcer, Bell led the Fins in tackles and chipped in 11 pass breakups while playing on a one-year deal in 2008. "It would be very difficult for me to walk away from this," he said. "I really couldn’t dream of going anywhere."

We need to sign this guy he is a play maker i hope he get the contract he deserves and is a dolphin for life at the end of last year he didn't seem like he wanted to sign with us he was kinda forced to because know one else would take him off his injury

Best player we have on D.

Get this guy signed and let Chowder hit the FA market.

sign him...sign him...sign him...he proved he can stay healthy,AND he WANTS to remain a Miami Dolphin...lock him down for the rest of his career is what i say...

Priority one. Carey, Crowder, they can wait. Yeremiah is the best of them by a long shot.

There really isn't anything negative to say about the guy as far as I can tell or anything that would make you hesitate. The FO will get this done quickly, I'm sure of it.

The only thing would be that he's injury prone. Hopefully, he's put that in the past and the FO believes in him because he is one awesome sumbitch to have on the team.

Lock him up. The biggest question with YB was "can he stay healthy for an entire season?" He's now shown that, and it's time to reward a guy that WANTS to be here and finish his career as a Dolphin.

Like corner backs, top tier safties are hard to come by. I'm not saying he's at Ed reed's or even Bob Sanders or troy Palomalou's level (yet). When you get a good one (and I think bell has the potential to be great -- especially with the help of some faster LBs that close lanes a lot quicker) you keep him.
Also that's a pretty strong staement from YB -- a far cry from the "this is a business and we'll see what happens" boilerplate many players are instructed to say by their agents..

To tell you the truth, after seeing Ed Reed's athleticism yesterday, I would like Yeremiah Bell to be teamed with Jason Allen at Safety. Let Renaldo Hill go or re-sign him to be the top backup Safety. Why?

Because, if you look at the 2007 season, Jason Allen led MIA in INTS and played very well and athletic at FS for us. He is a whole lot more athletic and Ed Reed like "physically" then Hill is.

With a whole year under the Parcells/Sparano coaching staff...maybe he is ready to return to form?

Besides, it just seems that he is a Safety instead of a CB.

Parcells may feel like he can improve at the position, so Bell may still be let go.

Why do people keep assuming a guy that cannot crack the lineup should be a starter. Seriously three regimes have had this guy on the bench do we need a 4th to truly evaluate him.

Actually, the better reason to let Hill go might be because he's **** awful. I have to believe his importance this year came from the leadership he provided to a D that was desperate for it. Hopefully, we will upgrade his spot because physically he cannot cut it. OF course, Jason Allen seems to be the opposite in that his mental game isn't there at all.
