I think its hilarious that Yeremiah Bell looks like he almost has a turbo button. Whenever a player is about to break free, Yeremiah pushes R1/R2 on his hands and he gets this extra gear.

Check the screen pass to Jamaal Charles last year in Chiefs game. He catches a 4.3-4.4 player(Chaarles) from behind.

Then he does it to Deangelo Williams this year against Carolina.

And then he does it to Welker down the middle and He ALMOST caught Aiken from behind when coming from 10+ yards back.

He really does have a turbo button.

I agree, he has some jets in his shoes to catch those guys, but it was Gerbil chasing Aiken not Bell.

Maybe that's why he wasn't caught. :chuckle:

I think CK once mentioned that Yeremiah Bell has legit 4.3 on-field speed. That's just scary in a dude that built.

I was thinking the same thing...Dude is stout but has that kind of speed...It is surprising, but really awesome.

Yeah I noticed that YB has some insane top end speed. He left both of the miami defenders in the dust when running down welker.

Just goes to show that some of these players fell out of the Freak Tree when they were born and hit every branch on the way down. Jesus, I wish I'd lucked out in the genetic lottery like that.

why don't they blitz bell anymore ? I remember when he used to blitz he got to the qb in a hurry !

He's definitely saved us from a couple of touchdowns this season with that freak turbo speed. And the dude is JACKED up.

Sometimes I wish he would use the speed for other than chasing though! You'd think he would be able to play the ball a lot more

But I agree, he certainly is a freak. It's amazing how different a 205 lb guy and look from the next. He looks about 220, so I'm surprised that he's only 205.

Hahaha so true man, I noticed that too. The guy has some speed; he ran down DeAngelo from behind and Welker from behind, that's hard to do. He also almost caught Aiken on that 80 yard pass.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing after seeing him chase down Welker yesterday and remembering his pursuit and tackles of Charles and Williams. The guy has hustle and wheels.

thats twice now where yeremiah bell has stopped a go ahead td run by someone and the defense stops them or takes the ball away in the endzone

Exactly the Williams run when he caught him the next play ended up being a turnover and the when he caught Welker they ended up going for it on 4th and giving us the ball.
Bell in a straight line is as fast as anyone on the D. His lateral speed is not nearly as fast though. Both of our safety's have stepped it up as of late
