Please, bench him! But the reason is not that he isn't the best QB we have and have had since Marino, but to save him the beating he is taking and to build Moore's trade value and once the season's been tanked start Devlin the last game or two to find out if we can trust him to be our backup. Losing out we might have a shot at Matthews too. After Gibson's injury I'm just hoping that Tannehill, Miller, Pouncey, Clay, Hartline, Wussllace, Soliai, Odrick, Wake, Jordan, Ellerbe, Misi, Grimes, Patterson and Jones stay healthy.

i think the dolphins fan base is looking like the houston texans with matt schaub

Half the reason why he is taking such a beating is his fault. The OL gave him plenty of time yesterday in the first half, he wasnt sacked once. The in the seconde half he gets sacked 6 times? I dont think that suddenly the OL completely broke down. I think the game simply got too big for Tannehill in the second half and all or 75% of those sacks were his fault.

Really? Because last time I checked, Matt Schaub wasn't a 2nd year, 25 year-old QB that is still developing.

Matt Moore has no trade value. He started enough games for teams to know who he is. You might get a 7th for him, but he will not get anything better than that.

Ryan Tannehill in Sept. had 5 td's 5 int's with 6 fumbles which 3 were lost and in October has had 6 td's 4 int's with 2 fumbles which both were lost, BENCH HIM? You must be kidding! lol This is sarcasm by the way. But then again like everyone says its only his second year we can keep losing because of that fact. More sarcasm. Listen, you cannot put the same thing out there week after week after week and expect different results .

Nah the sacks in the second half were all on Sherman getting severely out-coached by Bellichick. To start the game Bellichick thought he could get pressure sending 4-5 and also wanted to challenge Tannehill to beat them. Surprise, surprise he did so Bellichick panicked and threw the kitchen sink at us blitzing every play from different angles, our new OT's never got the blocking assignments right and Sherman did nothing to keep Tannehill up-right. With Gibson out and the Pats in panick mode the best we could have done was double TE packages with Sims pass blocking on the left and Egnew/Clay running either a corner or flag under Wussllace and Clay/Thomas blocking and rolling out right if no blitz or after token blocking with Tannehill rolling out right. Some QB draws would be nice too. IDK why Tannehill, Sherman and Philbin et al insist on ignoring Tannehill's wheels. I know he's no Vick and lacks the instincts say Luck has to take off but with a drawn up play he would do good he is more than fast enough to make defenses pay for selling out on the blitz.

FinJim are you a Tannehill supporter or detractor? I think you jumped the gun and didn't read the post out. Please don't come into my rep and call me what you did. I just have a feeling YOU were retarded enough to not read the post and just neg rep me out the blue.

You can't let him get away with negging you. He is taking away your street cred.

Oh and you cant blame the oline when defensive's send everybody because they are just not afraid of RT throwing.

Ya almost have to wonder if you're unable to even properly evaluate your whole team when Tannehill goes into those downward spirals. It snowballls so bad that the game is wrecked and then morale is crushed game after game. Not only that, but the whole game, the team is holding its breath hoping that the collapse doesn't happen.

Saying that, I'm not in love with Matt Moore's vision, decision-making, or poise either. He's more gunslinger than caretaker too. He's also another guy with better athletic ability than what he shows on the field; another guy that seems to get 'deer-in-headlight'd' with blitzers. Moore is the guy that gives you a chance if the starter is injured, not really the guy to go to if you're benching your QB for playing dumb, careless football.

I started a thread on this kid Zac Taylor, Sherman's son in law who's coaching him having as his credentials 2 years QBing @ Nebraska and a couple of nepotistic years as the Aggies asst coach under Sherman. Unqualified to instill fundamentals that will stick to a QB during his formative years, either good or bad. Demote Taylor and bring in an NFL QB-whisperer, or make him figure head and bring in as a "special consultant" charged with RT's development someone smart who's successfully QB'ed in the league, like a Pennington as the first order of pressing business. Otherwise it'll continue to be "garbage in/garbage out."
