Yeah, their coach and QB are terrific. And maybe a case can be made that after Brady, Gronk is the 2nd best player.. or maybe you can make a case for Suh instead.

So who're the handful of best players on the field tonight?

This is one possible (very subjective) ranking

Brady

Suh/Gronk
Wake
Landry
Albert
Tannehill
Rashad Jones
Miller
Grimes
McCourty
Pouncey
Edelman

And if this is the case, it's why while I wouldn't "bet the farm' on a win, I do think we have a viable chance tonight!

They have been getting by with a sub standard offensive line due mainly because of Brady's quick passes. Jam all receivers at the line and bring the heat.

On offense just do what we have been doings. Run the ball and break a few tackles on our short passes.

I too feel this is a game we can win. Mo is a big deal and right now we have it in spades

I feel like you could make this thread with any team they play and they'll be behind. They have a bunch of unsung players that come in a do their job the way it needs to be done. Everyone is disciplined and that's why they win.

Anywho, my list would be.

1. Brady
2. Suh
3. Gronk
4. Grimes
5. Wake
6. Jones
7. Tannehill
8. McCourty
9. Albert(When Healthy)
10. Edelman(When Healthy)
11. Landry
12. Chandler Jones/Jamie Collins

Would be interesting to see the inverse of this...the worse 10 starters for both teams ranked. I have a feeling we have the majority there as well (our linebacker corps and our guards come to mind). We are very top heavy talent-wise. If we will, it will be due to the heroics of those guys at the top. If we lose, it will be due to the incompetence of our guys at the bottom.

Just my humble opinion, of course.

I think Gronk is the best player in the league. Without him, Brady is somewhere in the top 5-10 area. We have a solid nucleus, as Vaark mentioned, that can go toe to toe with most teams but there is a severe dropoff after that. I am hoping Campbell can continue to get the most out of his roster tonight but it will be tough to out wit the master of getting the most out of his players.

I with you I feel like we have a good chance in this one. We matchup fairly well with the pats in a lot of areas. Add that Gronk likes a clean release, and we havent exactly let opposing teams do clean lately....

I agree with your point, don't know if I have him #1 overall, but he's in the top 5 for me.

While I get your point, Belicheck and Brady creates a very big advantage. The NFL is a coaches and QB league. They have the best coach and 2nd best QB in the game right now.
