yesssssssssssss, a weapon....this guy is a freak

Yes, I think our offense will definitely improve with Phil/Sherm but I hope our defense doesn't suffer with the new Def coordinator and lack of pass rushers.

Egnew is the most athletically gifted TE in this draft.

Best in almost every catergory except for 60 yd shuttle and bench press.

Sorry, but this is not even close to being accurate.

Actually, Egnew in the 3rd was a reach. I'm okay with it, but truth is, he is a situational player. Almost as much a big WR as he is a TE.

Most of the better boards had him as probably the 4th-6th rated TE in the draft behind the likes of Fleener and Allen, maybe Charles and perhaps Thompson or Green.

It's a good pick, but lets not get carried away here.

plus Les Brown....get some wide outs and now dolphins have some tools for Tannehill

also, we needed help in the red zone big time.....this guy can score TD's for us......a weapon for Tannehill........Ireland is slowly starting to win me over.

Ozzy rules!!

I hate to say it, but Im on the Ireland band wagon this year. Especially since the guy has done well thing well in the past.........find talent in the later rounds and UDFA's. There are still some studs WR's available (Streeter and Givens).

Egner represents a nice downfield threat that we did not have on this team.

it's not just Green Bay, but nowadays most West Coast Offenses are heavily reliant on multiple TEs. Hell while Colby Fleener got most of the press, Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo were just as involved in the offense as he was.

Egnew is very easy to get excited about.

Funny thing is that NE have not had great WR's the last few years but BB is smart so he's been using his TE's to move the ball....well, our WR's are not the greatest right now so we'll use this kid along with Fasano and Clay.....the defence starts to concentrate of those guys and it'll oopen up things for the WR's.....Gates and Wallace are 2 guys to keep an eye on.

Ozzy rules!!

Most gifted is a correct statement.

Just because he is the most gifted TE doesnt mean he's the best TE.

i thought I read somewhere that philbin said he didn't need a typical #1 wr like marshall for his offense.. hence the marshall trade...

if true, I am fine with 4th round WR's and I have been clamoring for them to wait for 4th rounder and later guys like mcnutt and wylie and what not...

been a good draft so far IMO

140 catches in 2 years. 90 catches from Gabbert in 2010. I say he is more of a WR than TE. Excellent addition.
yeah the videos ive seen he is split out in slot running bubble screens and has been said to run an end around or two. Always around the first down marker and End zoner catching balls in traffic all day with guys draped all over. Tannehill just needs to hit the short mark and first down.
