Philbin didn't lose this team. It may be debatable whether he's a good coach or not but his soldiers showed up tonight. Play calling is the real culprit with this team.

I will agree with that and also add that the GM must go at the end of the season, regardless of our record.

I was starting to think Philbin was losing it, but tonight he showed that he still has the team playing hard. This will help ease some of the drama.

Yes. I think we all assumed us to see a dying team just roll over and hand over everything, but no. They fought. Not to hard but enough to get a win. But this team is far from imploding like these bull**** reports said. But yes I do feel sherman and ireland need to GTFO!

Yep, they fought hard to win tonight especially the defense who were on the field all the third quarter.

Team definitely didn't quit and the leaders of this team stepped up and help us get the big win (Wake & Tannehill).

Yep I think the only thing really imploding is our world class toilet stew of reporters. I'm sure Armando and Omar are in their basements flogging themselves right now they're so upset that the Dolphins team hasn't quit on Philbin like they're trying to make us believe.

The problems with this team can be easily fixed as we found out tonight. Sherman went with Yeatman, Egnew, and Clay to block more!

Get out of that overdone shotgun! We are better when we run two minute offense however. Save it for that!

Wallace is starting to get better. We have the weapons and Mckinnie may save some face on OL.

The real issue with this team is we don't have anybody on the offensive side that can make something out of nothing. Mayock had a quote that Green-Ellis is the type of back that if you block for 4 yards he'll get you 4 yards, and Bernard is the special type that can take it to the house on any play. Our offense is made up entirely of the Green-Ellis type at best.

We had the Bernard type in Bush and let him walk. We had the AJ Green type in Marshall and traded him for Egnew and some other bum. I still believe we can get to 10 wins even with the lack of playmakers but we essentially need to be perfect everywhere else to make up for it.

I would argue that Miller is a borderline guy that can make something out of nothing. Or at least make a lot more than he's blocked for. How many times has he gotten outside the past few weeks and made big runs when it looked like he wouldn't get past the LOS? But other than him we definitely don't have anyone.

VERY insightful.

Very.

Thanks!

Lamar Miller is better than Reggie Bush ever was here. I'm so sick of this whining about not having Reggie Bush, open your eyes and be freaking happy about all the times we've seen Lamar Miller in the opponents secondary and beyond.

In response to the OP, the coaches seemed to coach the offensive today like they recognized some of the faults and the justification behind the complaints. They are still absolutely terrible game managers however, and it is unbelieveable that four weeks in a row we squander a lead, two weeks in a row we squander a two score lead. Without going into detail in this particular thread, a lot of coaching decisions were major influences. It's good that the team is still playing hard, and the season is still thankfully alive after today, but in his year and a half of work, we've lost too many games we should have won for me to feel like these guys are getting the best out of this team. Which is too bad, because there are characteristics of what Philbin does that I admire, and I don't feel the overall schemes we run are bad, even if we don't implement them properly throughout the course of the game.
