I know Sparano sucks. I gave him time to prove himself(as i do with most coaches/players) and he proved that he sucks. I dont think Irelands as bad as some people make him out to be. We only saw one draft he had full control over. Hes made some good moves in my opinion but hes also made plenty of bad ones too. Im tired of the ex-cowboys garbage to be honest tho.

I see tons of threads about them all the time getting blame for this team sucking. Im not saying that they arent to blame, dont get me wrong. Sparano clearly sucks as a HC but he probably wouldnt ever even have been a HC if it werent for Parcells.

Sparano was an offensive line coach. He called plays for a year in Dallas. Its not like Tony would be at the top of any teams list of head coaching candidates (at the time when Parcells hired him and definately not now). He didnt have a great resume by any means. He was only given the job because his friend Bill Parcells took over and hired him.

Bill Parcells is fully to blame for this. He started this mess and then ran out on it before it got horrific. If it werent for Parcells we never have Sparano, we never have Henning, we never have Ireland. We also never have Pat White.

Sparanos a sh*tty coach but who hired him? This mess is Parcells fault first and foremost. Sparano is NOT head coach material and someone whos supposedly a "great talent evaluator" like they claim Parcells to be wouldve known that Tony sucked. Tony is not a leader. He does not instill confidence in his team. He cannot manage a game or make adjustments throughout the game. Tony was in way over his head and Parcells had to have known this. He knew the guy personally and worked with him for quite some time. You mean to tell me Parcells actually thought Sparano was gonna be a good coach? I cant believe Parcells hired him thinking he would be a great HC. Parcells was getting a big paycheck and decided he'll help out a couple of his buddies and employ them, whether theyre qualified or not.

* I didnt put alot about Ireland because he has added some nice pieces to this team this year but also some bad ones. This team just has no direction or identity. No system to try to get certain players for. If he stays on after Sparano gets canned i wouldnt be upset. I dont think Ireland is the worst GM. I also wouldnt care if he was gone tho either.

No the fault is with Wayne. He is the one paid the kings ransom to steal Parcells away from Atlanta. It was Wayne that gave Parcells his escape clause and brought Parcells here in the first place. It starts with Wayne.

Sparano was a pupil(crony) of BP's and mimicked his coaching style. You have to remember during Sparano's first year he would often refer to his players as "Prima Donnas" while under the watchful eye of BP's. All to gain favor of the big Tuna.

Things have now changed in that Sparano has stopped the micromanaging and become more of a players coach. Its too late and probably to his own demise. I like Sparano and think he's a good coach. The problem was his belief and loyalty to Dollar Bill Parcells.

Parcels was a great coach but I don't believe he ever established himself as a competent executive. The problem was that we brought him in as an executive. He had great success resurrecting franchises but he did that primarily as a coach. To me being good at one doesn't necessarily correlate at being good at the other. Sparano isn't in the same league as parcells as a coach and Parcells had much too influence in our front office decisions. It was a recipe for failure.

I hope that if we hire chuckie or cowher or whatever coach that their responsibilities are limited to that. I wouldn't mind chuckie as a coach but if he has final say in personal decisions it will cause problems.

As much as spielman was villified, he wanted brees and bolden. It was a coach with too much power that overruled him.

Please...this is no time to split hairs......

In the end our objectives are still the same. We want to field a team that contends for a championship even though our paths getting there might differ. Unfortunately. ones passion for ones team many times leads to vitriolic and caustic language. It is an emotional response and admittedly juvenille response. I try not to get caught up in it but sometimes i do. Anyhoo. We are all still dolphin fans and we all have the same end goals.

love ya kiddo... think maybe u just "misremembered" some of my posts before u started ur own. glad u righted the ship!!

Cool story.

Parcells is to blame. Parcells is gone.

Tony is still here so it's his problem. Either fix it or STFU. Same goes for Ireland.

This guy is sick of listening to excuses, the blame game, finger pointing, and all of that other non-sense.

Who wants to win?

its just a slap in the face to fin fans that we got stuck with this bozo because Parcells wanted to give his friend a job instead of trying to hire a real head coach. Parcells saw a big payday and didnt give a sh*t about turning the team around.

I tried to give Sparano the benefit of the doubt because he inherited a one win team in a rebuilding stage. But he just flat out sucks. Ive met him at training camp before when they sign autographs at the end and hes a real nice guy and all but hes not cut out to be a head coach. Based on our line i dont even think hes cut out to be an o-line coach either.

who cares if parcells is gone? Its still his fault Sparano is our coach.

What other team wouldve hired Tony "we made some positive plays and we made some negative plays" Sparano as their head coach the year he came here? NONE. He only became head coach because his friend hired him. If Parcells actually gave a damn about turning this franchise around he wouldve gotten the best possible candidate at the time instead of just hiring his friends.

We all want to win of course. The point of the thread was to say we all know Tony sucks but we wouldnt even have that moron if it werent for Parcells.

THANK YOU. this is EXACTLY what happened. and seriously nawledge ive been saying it FOREVER! who is gonna FOLLOW that guy - meaning sparano. this guy doesnt stand a chance of igniting a roster full of alpha males. bill parcells is a flat out idiot for bringing him aboard. and all he did care about was money.

jon gruden is the polar opposite of tony sparano. he will COMMAND respect. and he has to ring to say MY WAY WORKS.

im happy to see you actually met the guy and first hand thats how you felt as well. it should be clear anyways. i love all these suggestions for head coaches that dont even possess the MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR in a head coach - LEADERSHIP. same damn thing that gets overlooked OVER AND OVER aND OVER again when evaluating quarterbacks - its SO maddening. and ridiculous that these mistakes get made so often by so called "professionals"

so leave your dumb *** "andy reid" suggestions at the door. this franchise needs LEADERSHIP to win

If we're gonna split hairs here then it's technically Ross' fault that Sparano is still the coach.

Personally, I don't care whose fault it is. A change needs to be where the problems lie.

This is why it is so hard to watch espn sunday countdown. I can't stand watching Bill Parcells criticize others when he clearly effed up this team.
