You can blame Sparano and Ireland but Parcells is truly to blame for this mess

If we're gonna split hairs here then it's technically Ross' fault that Sparano is still the coach.

Personally, I don't care whose fault it is. A change needs to be where the problems lie.

gotta disagree bro, but its splitting hairs. it isnt Ross's fault UNLESS you want to blame him for not getting harbaugh (who was never going to come here anyways). did you see how much **** he got just for TRYING to hire a good coach last year?? did you see how ridiculous THIS FORUM was last year with JUST THE MENTION of getting rid of an awful coach like sparano??? pretty funny huh??

Ross wasnt prepared to move onto plan B after Harbaugh, and thats why sparano was retained. BUT he DID clearly gear up for next offseason. the guy hasnt even hired his first head coach. the time is right. u wanna point the finger at ross? do it after the next guy if things dont work out. until then he has a free pass.

im with u tho. LETS WIN. IMO things are looking up

It's definitely Ross' fault that Sparano is still the coach. He could have fired him if he really wanted to.

Luckily, he didn't and still hasn't.

i knew thats what u were saying. and as much as i cant stand sparano (for a long time), given the circumstances, im actually on board with keeping him one more year like ross did.

they didnt go crazy and bring in a bunch of veterans, ireland drafted well, and the lockout had to affect some things. im not sure some of the top guys (gruden, cowher) would have wanted to take a job with an abbreviated offseason. they have to come in and get things started correctly. it also gave ross more time to evaluate this organization and ireland as a talent evaluator and even sparano as a head coach. in addition, it has polarized the fan base NOBODY wants sparano around here anymore (thank god). everybody is ready and onboard for a coaching change, and that helps the organization move forward. the one thing it may have cost us is drafting a guy like mallett, but if we end up with luck - it wont ever matter
