Those guys were one yr wonders in college and there were questions about the character of both when they came out. Luck has the pedigree and no such character questions exist. He is a true franchise QB prospect in the same vein that Manning or Elway were.
The last couple of times the Phins had the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft they passed on Aaron Rodgers (they thought he was a system QB) and he wasn't a consensus top 5 pick. Matt Ryan was also not considered a sure fire can't miss prospect. The same cannot be said for Luck.
 
I've never been on the bandwagon for Luck...I've changed my mind. We can't afford to lose an opportunity to have a franchise QB. I said this last night and I'm sticking to it. If Sparano isn't gonna win out, I want to lose out. I don't want to be stuck at mediocrity for another year.
 
Chad Henne and Sparano failed us today.

Our Coach lost this game, because he was satisfied with a just field goal, to get/taket a 6 point lead.

Get rid of Sparano and everything else will fall in place.

What as disaster he is.
 
The funny thing is I don't think we could go seven and nine if we wanted to. This year is over the browns were the second worst team we were going to play. We will be lucky to beat the chefs.

dont get me wrong, this defense is ****ing pathetic, allowing the browns to march down the field for a td when all they needed was one more stop.

However, great qb play is what wins in todays nfl. a great qb like luck can cover some of our problems on defense.

chad henne, while i like that he is showing alittle more guts this year, especially running with the ball, etc, he just isnt the guy. yes he can make some throws at times, but so does every qb. whenever we get into the redzone, he cannot get the ball in the endzone.

we need a guy who will bring stability to our offense and be a leader for 10-15 years like marino was ( hopefully we get a superbowl this time, and no its not a jab at marino, thats the only thing i want different with our next qb, its not marinos fault he had zero defense and running game).

andrew luck would bring that to us. our team would be contenders for years to come just like the old days. qb , although not our only issue, is an issue considering it is the most important position by a landslide on the field in todays nfl, and we dont have a good enough one.

All of this Luck talk is just funny to me. We're not going to be in competition for being the worst team in the league, period. Dream on gentlemen!
