You cannot be surprised at the poor image of the Phins in the media anymore

People need to realize that this team is not respected or liked by the media. Most sports networks blast the Phins on a weekly basis, be it ProFootballTalk or ESPN, there are always highlights of our guys on the wrong ends of plays, and few Phins highlights to balance it out. For instance, I picked up Madden 12 today and in the intro with many highlights, 0 belong to the Phins. They are just not a team right now with a positive, solid reputation or image. So I'm curious as to why people are surprised at the negativity of this team. There are no faces of the franchise, unless you count Henne or Sparano, and these are not positive "faces" being portrayed.

What is the big deal with this site. When someone make a reference to Madden it gets treated like the plague. Madden is the only football game out there where you can play with your favorite team. I play all the time and it is a fun game. No more no less. It is cool to see your favorite Fins in their little clips. Guess some people are just to old to have fun!

All Miami teams have a bad image in the media. It doesn't help that a lot of the media is generated in the North East, and most analysts on these media outlets are and always have been Miami haters. It is what it is. The Phins, and Miami teams in general haven't exactly been the spitting image of what to look up to. The Heat get reamed for not winning the NBA Finals on a daily basis. According to ESPN the Heat were supposed to fizzle out sometime during the playoffs and not even make the Finals. They proved them wrong and still get crap for it. They love to hate Miami. I mean just look at their opinions on UM's debacle.

Phin highlights have been non-existent for years now, unless it's for getting destroyed by the Pats. I can't tell you how many times last year on Sports Center's sidebar thing a Dolphin game highlights were up there for a second and then it got booted for some other bs. So be it. We have to prove the media wrong and produce wins.

BTW, Reggie coming out of the backfield and gates on the opposite side of marshall with bess in the slot, watch out for steak_bagel on the ps3

This team has been dysfunctional loser for the last 6 years apart from the Pennington division title year. Nobody gave us any respect that year either. If we suck, we hear about it. If we're good, we hear about it. If we suck we don't get a lot of press. If we're winning we have to be discussed as we're then relevant to the playoff landscape.

Who is saying Woe is me?
Fact is lots of those Northeastern/NY Lovin' folks take every chance they get to throw a shot in at how pathetic Miami is. We finished in the middle of the pack the last to years, and a fair amount of the media go on as if we were 1-15 again. It's just how it is. I could care less though and am not gonna whine about it. I just find it funny more than anything. They can say what they want, more power to them. Heck, some of it's true sure, still doesn't bother me to hear it. Hope they all get to eat their words though.
On the flip-side, I have heard a few folks giving Miami a bit of credit and at least say we could be a surprise team.

I think he's saying that in the grand scheme of things, the Dolphins having no highlights in the beginning of Madden is as important as the dandruff on a homeless guy's head.

We have been one of the five worst teams in the NFL for 10 years now. Some people fail to see that. We are a bottom feeder in this league.

It sucks cause its "our" team but if your objective about it we are the Browns, Raiders, Bills, Lions...etc. That's us!

If the media said "nice things" about the Fins I would question their thinking. Media doesn't get paid to sugar coat things, they report what they see.
