You can't blame AJ

Jimmy James said:
AJ did some things that he simply cannot continue doing. If he had played better, this could have been a win.
.

I agree.
I feel he's simply a victim of inexperience right now though.
The guy was simply trying to do too much.
He's a little ****y and that led him to being a "loose cannon" tonight.
Again though he's young and that is normal for a young QB.
You have to give the guy time to show if he can develop, not to mention some time in the pocket!

Trek,

We are on the same page about our QB situation...for once. I'd put a smile after that statement, but I don't feel like smiling about anything after tonight's game.

Sure the line was brutal, but AJ was just as bad. How many times did he just carelessly hurl the ball into the air. He has no clue of how to protect the football and his decision making is erratic. Watching him go back to pass is an adventure because you have no idea of what is going to happen.

This guy could have been playing behind the old Washington Redskins hogs and he still would have lost the game for us tonight. He is not the answer and Jay is obvioulsy not. Unless Sage ends up being a miracle man, it's going to be a long, long season.

Brsdd,

I watched Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell do little better to worse behind the current Redskins line today, which is far better than ours if not exactly as good as the old days.

It's funny how you are "careless" when you have no time to do anything in the pocket before it collapses due to horrid like play.

Don;t forget AJ is 27, hes not a rookie or a kid, in fact he's about a year younger than when Jay came into Miami.

Give him room to adjust, but not 4 seasons worth.

"Steve McNair, co-MVP, couldn't do anything against Miami's defense, and neither could rookie Carson Palmer, but the one quarterback who killed Thomas and Taylor was their own -- A.J. Feeley. With a 3-0 lead, Feeley did the one thing he couldn't and mustn't, gift-wrapping seven points for a Bengals team that hadn't done a thing before a quiet crowd until Feeley gave it the ball, the momentum, the noise and, it appeared with five minutes remaining, the game." --Dan LeBatard
