You don't like the pick? Fine, but please, don't take it out on him....

Tannehill did not pick himself at 8.....if you don't like the move then ok, I can understand that. But don't start putting the kid down already.....don't start hoping that he'll suck just because you want to be "right" so bad. I know there're people on here that just want to be able to tell us how they were right. Everyone of us has been right before about different moves or players. Also everyone of us have been wrong too from time to time.......would any of you dare to tell us that YOU have never been wrong about anything? Root for the kid to do well. He's on our team now and we should root for him and hope he does well. I'm not a big Ireland fan but I'm fair, I give him credit for doing this. It was the right move imo and again, I could be wrong. He might not work out but it was time to make a move like this. Go Dolphins all the way win or lose.We're all in this together.

I am in the boat of people who hate the pick at #8, and let me stress that fact. I don't hate Tannehill as a QB, I just don't think he was worth the #8 pick. That said, I don't get how people can hope for their team to fail just because they drafted someone that you as a fan don't approve of. I will be behind this kid 100%, but I will not be expecting him to work wonders. He will have my support, but I have no expectations for him to be our franchise QB for many years to come. Those who are expecting him to fill Marino's shoes are setting themselves up for disappointment IMO.
 
If tannehill becomes a solid qb for ten years the pick was worth it. if he does better than that, obviously he was worth it.

I loved the pick. we haven't had a 1st round qb, in 30 years almost... think about that.. at some point you have to try. IF these guys didn't think he was capable, they wouldn't put there necks on the line and draft him at 8.

i'd be interested in knowing who folks who are agaisnt the tannehill pick thought we should have taken, and why they thought we'd be so much better off with said prospect.
 
You would think any true fan would root for him to succeed, but you never know with our wacked fan base. I'm excited and look forward to seeing what he can do.

Ok, that's very fair imo. I can understand that all the way.....now I don't expect him to be Marino. Nobody here does. At least I hope they don't.I believe that he has a chance to be very good for us but only time will tell. But in the mean time, I will root for him.

What's not too like about this pick? It wasn't an OL or DL player!
