If I'm not mistaken, you got ATL, then N.E., the NFL's favorite franchises. Are you apprehensive at all about possibly one-sided officiating? Two facts are certain:

1. You will not be able to cough near Vick without drawing a personal foul.

2. Officiating in any NE game becomes fishy if the game is close in the 4th quarter, though you probably have experienced this being that you play them twice a year.

Good points, and yes, we've dealt with this regarding NE several times. I've got to think the homefield aspect would help balance it out a bit though. As for Vick, though, you're probably right regardless of where the game is played.

I really feel that the head coach should be able to taser the ref's if he feels that they have blown too many calls.

I can just envision the whole thing. " Pass Interference, Defense. Automataaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!" As Saban jubilantly keeps pressing the shock button. Slowly pee stains begin to appear on the ref's pants.

If we can take Vick out with a personal foul penalty for the rest of the game I would say the 15 yards would be worth it. Of couse I would almost be more afraid to play against Schaub seeing how he can pass the ball.

Please Note: I'm not saying I want vick to get hurt, I'm just saying if Jason Tayler happend to go and sack Vick and know him out of the game and got a 15 yard penalty for it, it would be 15 yards well spent.

Anybody play Blitz the league yet? There's one hit you can do where you chase the guy down and pull the guys helmet off him and swack (yes, swack) him in the head with it. It knocks the guy out of the game. I wouldn't mind if JT did that to vick accidentally. I'd send his favorite charity a cool grand if he did it to Brady.

A bit much, I know. But bear with me it's Friday. I'm a bit giddy!

That would be awesome. :rofl3:

I've seen the previews for it, looks like a good game.

We all know the Pats get the close/most important calls of the game. I couldnt believe my eyes watching the Bills/Pats Sunday night game. I like point #1 though. It makes alot of sense. Ill definitly be watching for it. Thx for the heads up.

You just wait. Even if you hit Vick a millisecond after he releases - roughing the passer.

If you actually sack him, the refs will claim that there was helmet-to-helmet contact, or that it is a personal foul to sack a QB on the 34-yard line at 2:34 EST or something like that.

Unlike Madden, IT'S FUN!!! Being married and have a more than full time job, my chances to play are slim. But, when I do it's a blast!

At least they don't add time to the clock for the dirty birds.

PS how long did it take you to get power back in Lake Worth, I got mine at about 4:30 last Sat.

 BUT I KNOW YOUR RIGHT :fire:

Well one thing you have to understand is that the NFL is a business. And their business is to make money.
So they have their poster children that help them rake in the dough and they will protect. Thus protecting their profits. Vick is one of them. He's exciting to watch. I don't like him, but he does bring in the fans. The pats are a team that have a large following. I mean, remember the playoff game with the Colts and the pats a few years ago where the ref's were letting the pats db's maul the colts receivers, but not the other way around? Remember the supposed "rule enforcement" last year?
So yes, they're going to protect their profits.

Yeah unless you can back that up you are mistaken. Look, when I was following the Dolphins during the Shula years and everyone cried about how the Dolphins were loved by the Refs based on the fact that Shula was on the Rules Committee, well I laughed at that suggestion and with all due respect I will laugh at this one also.

And not once have I ever gone into a game wondering if the refs are going to be an impact or not, refs don't win or lose games for teams, teams themselves do that, I mean com'on....
