It's the truth. A lot of you "fans" pull it off really well too. Saban gets hired, you unjustly put the weight of all the hype in the world on his shoulders, deem him godly, and then when he doesnt meet your expectations of turning a team who was in complete shambles around in less than two seasons you are ridiculing his press conferences, his style of coaching, his hiring decisions etc.

It's really sad that Saban has to go through this now only because a lot of you hyped him up way too much in the beggining. And now you sit there, expecting Saban to come out and explain to the same fans that boo and leave the stadium early why things arn't going well, excuse him if he has other priorities...

Saban is BUILDING a team. That takes time and experimentation. This isn't a patchwork situation, even though many of you started beleveing so as you went bug-eyed over the super bowl being in Miami this year.

Patch work gets you a good super bowl year and then you fall off, Saban wants to build stability, and you cant do that without going through some hard times. Look at Marvin Lewis, he had average first seasons and now the Bengals are on their way to being a COMPLETE team, who will contend for years to come.

Unfortunately for you bandwagneering bafoons, Saban doesn't give a damn what you have to say, we don't coach or play professional football. All you know or care about is results, and thats why Saban hates the media, because they just base their questions and arguments on results and statistics and have no real understanding of what's going on behind the scenes with these players.

Has Saban made mistakes? absolutely, anyone would have. You don't hae to be dumb to get things wrong. He is a thinker, and he's seeing what is the best way to put this team together for the long run. I'm making a mental note of all you Saban bashers so when the season gets turned around or when we start building a nasty team all of you will get called out, right after you post about how great Saban is...:shakeno:

Hope you do call all the bashers out, it gives you a good idea just how little football most of these so call fans know. Hey instant Mac & cheese, coffee and Super Bowl team, why not. :fire:

Nobody in their right mind believed all that stuff about the Dolphins going to the SB this year anyway. It's going to take Nick a while to build this team into a dominant team, but he will; as long as the Dolphins give him enough time.

good post but correction.

we don't coach or play professional football.

I coach at my old highschool and I also played for the NAFL :p plus full ride to rutgers.. which Ill prob use up my egilibility next year :)

anyway yeah.. people around here put out very unrealistic expectations.. and when they dont come to fruitation.. they spaz.

Qb's being like Marino.

Saban turning directly into Shula.

On paper superbowl champs but dont look it in the season.

etc

I am disappointed with this year, mainly because the O-line seems to have gotten worse somehow. I dont blame Saban for the Dolphins' season at all.

People really bashed Wanny. It was not his fault Ricky went wild. We went 11-5 two years with him. Saban just is not making good decisions. People bash Wanny for his drafts. Saban is doing even worse. Ronnie Brown is a great guy but not a premiere back. He just does not impress me. Jason Allen is a waste and Culpepper is done. They are now realizing that Culpepper is not ready in to week 6 and 1-4. well it looks like Brees is ready. Terrible personnel decisions. I am very afraid that Culpepper will never be 100% and what he was at Vikings. Mularky is a terrible o- coordinator compared to what we have had in the past.

Harrington should have started from day one and should have never traded for Culpepper. Cleo Lemon could be starting in a few weeks. This kid has talent and can run with the ball.

I have been a Fin fan forever and have not missed a game in 7 0r 8 years. This team is really struggling. And the scary thing is that the "D" has been the core of this team for 6 or 7 years and it is getting very old. Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor only have two or three years left in them. That is not enough time to turn this mess around.

I do like Saban but I just feel like the organization is just not making great decisions. I didn't intend to post as a Saban basher. I am just frustrated with the losing. I guess people are going to bash when we are not any good.

I had bashed Saban after losing to the Texans I felt he was going to ride Daunte into the sunset but he proved me wrong and put Joey in for New England. That took some cojones and I gained alot of respect back for the man. IMO he does'nt have an eye for talent like Billichek does but I guess not many coaches do. I in no way think "Saban is God" like many posters have in their sigs etc...but he is a good coach who is willing to do whatever it takes to win. Wether or not he can do what it takes to turn this organization around remains to be seen but it looks promising at this point.
