I mean I am cracking up here!

2 years ago if we had 3rd and 2 I bet my house we run, get stuffed and lose. Everybody would then be cursing Wanny for all eternity.

Then you get Saban, and you WANT him to coach like Wanny!!

It was a smart playcall, sort of like Vermeil yesterday, Gus didn't execute.

Period.

the difference is, and try to follow, the run was WORKING....

Wanny would keep running even when averaging 2.4 Yds for a game...

slight difference...

 Drink some coffee and wake up. Vermeil played the strength of his team, in judegment time. The dolphins should have done that as well.

Two years ago I would have wanted DW to run Ricky twice, not pass. No need to overanalyze here, say what you will, but the decision not to give it to Ronnie yesterday was lame, PERIOD. Just answer this simple question, whose hands do you want on the ball in crunch time inside the 10, Ronnie or Gus. If you answered Gus, I feel for you.

true, but I'm saying that for years everybody here cried about Wanny being too conservative, now they are mad at Saban for being too aggresive!

I have no idea why anyone would question the playcall to throw on 3rd and 2. You can make good arguments as to why we should have run or passed. I do not think there was a wrong playcall there. Linehan didn't throw that INT. Gus simply should have thrown the ball away if he saw everyone was covered.

I seriously doubt Linehan coaches Gus to try and make an impossible throw when a receiver is well covered when there is 1 down left.

Also, we went pass happy inside the 20. Not once did RB or RW touch the ball once we got inside the 20. 3 straight passes.

another thing is, we had a clear tendency to pass out of that formation and personell. That was just not smart.

You'll realize why it was a bad call when you figure out why everyone was covered on that play.

Why would the Falcons play pass defense on 3rd and 2? Because we had a tendency to throw when both RW and RB were in the game.

We gave the play away prior to the snap. That's what made it a bad call.

The other factor was simply because we all knew we could pound the rock right at them for a first down. Which would have been smarter. Get the first down inside the 5 and then you'll have a new set of downs to pass or run.

Just a bad call. Put the ball in the play makers hands there (RW and RB) not in Gus' hands.

Maybe because we all are tired of stupid football..from the Dolphins. Who really cares what would have happened two years ago...last year....the only thing that matters is what happened yesterday....and that was a sad sad joke.

Let me see....Gus throws the first pass....Gus throws the second pass....you have two running backs capable of getting two yds in 2 downs....can't think of a reason why anyone with a right mind would question that great play calling.

Wanny would have picked "Pacman" with the first pick, and maurice clarett with our second...
