Its the feeling i got in the pit of my stomach every time feeley went back to pass...that oh **** feeling. I don't get that with Gus, he's making good decisions, he looks confident in the pocket. Everyone that says Gus sux, or he's no good is going to eat thier words come this sunday.

I don't know how any Dolphins fan can complain about what Gus has done so far.

Did we expect him to light the world on fire? No.

But he's made some really nice completions down the field and has kept the turnovers to a minimum.

he has managed the game, exactly what the coaching staff has asked of him. he will not be breaking any passing numbers, i just hope he can break us into the playoffs.

Yeah, me neither or that feeling of "where the hell is the ball gonna end up", like with Fiedler who generally overthrew EVERYTHING!!

I still get that feeling when he drops back.....I dont think that with only three games this season, he has proved that he is not still inconsisitent, ask me again in week 8

:yeahthat:

That feeling is gone after every season for me but I'm happy to say it hasn't come back yet!

I always felt that way with Fiedler and Feeley, but I certainly haven't felt that way yet with Gus. Here's hoping I never do.

I'm with you on this, that feeling of doubt in the pit of my stomach has been non-existant thus far with Gus. I havent seen him try to force anything so far and thats a big part of the reason. I was actually shocked to see that interception in the end zone when he was throwing to Chris during the Carolina game.

Thus far the play of Gus has taught me how much I undervalued the importance of taking care of the ball, and how in the long run this really helps to make sure you win the games your supposed to win. After last year, I guess I got used to a pick 6 now and then.

This may be sacreligious in these forums, but I used to get that "feeling" in Dan's final year as a Dolphin. :couch:

While I feel Gus has done an admirably decent job thus far, he is still prone to some dumb mistakes that would be costly with an inferior team (ie, INT in the endzone with a woefully inaccurate/underthrown pass)

I must say though, if Gus were thrust into last year's system, I think many of you would have had the "Oh ****" feeling in your guts too.... That being said, he has proved better than any QB on our roster right now. Hope it keeps up.

Well, he's the only QB on our roster who's played with a real game plan..Sage and AJ may, and I point out carefully, MAY, do as well.

yeah, i can relate...actually that feeling is called a "Cringe"....I use to cringe every time I would see Fiedler throw, and you're right, I'm not feeling it with Gus....it's as if I trust his decisions.

hopefully, we won't get to test that theory. continuity at the position would be welcomed...

i used to cringe a lot for the O and the D. i don't worry about this team as much. well, maybe the long snaps for a few weeks... overall, i get the feeling that these guys are in good hands. and gus is doing what he needs to do so far.
