Are we really as bad as our record would indicate?

We lost to the Steelers. Well, they are the defending champs. And we were in that game up until the middle of the 4th quarter when everything fell apart.

The Bills, Jets, and Pats are our divisional rivals. Everything goes out the window when it comes to those games.

That leaves the the Titans, The Texans, and the Packers...

The Titans lost to the Jets, the Chargers, the Cowboys, almost beat the Colts, and they beat Washington. Do the Titans really suck? I mean, they lost to some pretty good teams.

The Texans lost to the Eagles, the Colts, the Redskins, the Cowboys, and they beat the Jaguars. Again, pretty good teams.

And the Packers lost to the Bears, the Saints, the Eagles, and the Rams. They beat Detroit.

I know it seems like holy crap, how could lose to these guys? But maybe there's another way to look it...

Instead of the idea that we're as bad as Tennessee, Houston, and Green Bay. What about the idea that we're not as good as Philly, Indy, St. Louis, New Orleans, Chicago, and San Diego.

Is it possible that we're not terrible? We're just not elite. Or am I just reaching here?

Yeah, I hear ya. But let me ask you this. If we finish at 8-8, I know we aren't elite, but does that make us terrible?
 
bad teams find ways to lose. We are a bad team right now.
 
The Jets are a good team??? I guess from our vantage point every team looks good.

This kind of logic makes no sense to me.

We lost to Houston, Green bay, and Buffalo.

These teams are horrible. most teams beat the crap out of these guys when they play them. And you want to justify our losing to them because they cant beat any good teams? If they cant beat any good team, THAT MEANS THEY SUCK! and because WE LOST TO ALL OF THEM WE SUCK WORSE!!!

I really cant believe we beat Tennessee, if Vince Young was playing they would have won, Kerry gave us that game.

To your 8-8 scenario. If we finish 8-8 then something really bad must have happened to the rest of the teams on our schedule.

We are 1-6 and have played one of the easiest schedules in the NFL. The tough games are yet to come. Our non-division teams we've played so far ALL have losing records, and we olny beat one of them. Not to mention we are winless in our division. We still have to play our division again. And our non-division opponents in the remainder of our schedule are hard as hell. They only non division opponent we have left with a losing record is Detroit and they are better than us. we are screwed, we might beat the bills or jets but not both, and we have a chance against the up and down jags, and the colts wont be playing their starters, but other than that we are LUCKY to finish 3-13 AT THE BEST.
 
thank you I don't have to read another post with everyone complaining about how bad we are!!! Great post!!! Though I do think we need a lot of work, we are going in the right direction:dolphins:
