...if a big ugly defensive lineman can drop into coverage, read and intercept with no sweat.

Just maybe.

Some people didn't seem to know what staring down was -- rewind that one.

Guess you didn't see the 3 or 4 linemen blocking his line of sight of that defender.

First of all it was a stunt on the D-Line that is hard for a QB to pick up. Second, the entire Dolphins team played like baked ***. I seriously doubt anyone would have played QB well tonight.

Not defending Henne because he looked terrible, but we have bigger concerns with our "STARTERS" that you should be focused on not a back up QB.

Did you observe the DLine stunt on that play??

Yes. It was a good play, I'll give him props... a good play for a rookie DL, but just another long line of what I've seen from Henne non-stop. IMO Henne is going to be a serviceable starter in the NFL but not greatness. He's going to be Dilfer-esque in his ability to lead a team to the promised land: if he's got a great surrounding cast that doesn't require excellent playmaking ability and can permit somewhat wooden QB to make a few mistakes a game and still win, then ok.

Just not high on Henne.

I don't understand people who are so high on Bess and so high on Henne. I don't see greatness in either one: serviceable, but definitely not better than a high percentage of guys who might fill their roster spot.

Put it this way: Is Henne appreciably better than the backup QBs on the other teams, that we've seen this preseason?

Cricket. Cricket.

Or if Bess is so great, how is he losing number two WR to a marginal rookie?

The D linemen was surprised..., he instinctively reached back against the grain Henne waits 1/4 second longer the pass is complete... end of story - the Oline was piss poor too Run or pass pro
