I get into this debate quite a bit and hear all of the running game and defense wins championships rhetoeric from the media. Sure you must have a defense and be able to run the ball but, i have also
listed the last 25 Super Bowl Winning Qb's that say a lot more. How many of those qb's were game managers. Dilfer, Johsnon, Manning(last year), and no i'm not including Russell Wilson and Joe Flacco as game managers because they stepped up as stars during they're Super Bowl winning playoff runs. Now ask yourself this question do you see Tannyhill playing at the level that these qb's played at in challanging for a title. We have a few isolated teams winning a Super Bowl over 25 yrs and now we think all you need to do is throw for 200 yrds, don't turn the ball over and throw a couple of td's and you can win with that type of qb's. The numbers don't say so. You need a qb capable of lighting it up, if the defense falters a little or the running game is getting stuffed
by eight man fronts. For every 2001 Bucs, 2000 Ravens, Seahawks or Bronco game managing Qb Super Bowl winning team I can show you some great 90's KC, Early 2000 Dolphins,
Rex Ryan Jets, mid 90's Seau led Charger etc teams that never one a Super Bowl because they didn't have that big time QB.

We don't need another thread about the same material over and over again.

2 weeks prior to this game the passing offense was fine while making key plays to win the game.

You've refuted your own argument. No response needed.

Hey..Eli Clouds has a new IP address...

All i'm saying is that this team is looking a lot like the early 2000 yrs Dolphins and we can't sit around and waste away another potential contending team with a Jay Fielder playing in a 20 yd box qb.

You mean like a QB that has thrown for the second most yards in 4 years in NFL history, with a 2 to 1 int rate behind a historically bad offensive line? Check! Tannehill has proven he can win with a 9-2 record behind a decent line with Pouncey, Albert, and James. Tannehill has made plays to win games in the last 3 games, including some very special throws. So he fits into the winning formula that has happened the last 3 weeks.....run the ball, play good D, and make the passing plays when you have to. I am not sure what else you can ask of him? I mean it is like a broken record in here!

What games are you watching this year? The 20 yard box is old Omar material.

as long as we winning I am happy.....I can care less who is qb...

Which is completely true except for... 1) Ryan doesn't throw pick 6's every other game & 2) Gase > Wanny

Can we at least put to rest all of the "I only complain about the qb because we lost" crap? Here we are a month after our last defeat and the complaints are still pouring in.

We could win if Tannehill plays like he did versus the Bills and Steelers. Not so much the Jets. We were lucky to win with the offensive performance we got versus the Jets, but I will say that the plays made to win the game are the plays a hot team makes to find a way to win. Maybe those don't happen if not for the last two performances, which gave guys the confidence they could find a way to execute and win. I'm not sure where Tannehill really sits, the one his first two games with a hot Ajayi, or the one yesterday where he was just meh, albeit against a tough opponent. Every QB is gonna have those type of performances, where they did little bad but overall not too much production. Let's see it play out.

Lol of those 25 you listed, only 6 have 3 or more TDs. Yeah, good job.

Quick question: How many regular season MVP QB's have also gone on to win the Super Bowl with their team in the same year?
