If you had your choice, who would you want the Dolphins to draft in 06 if they were still available...
1. AJ Hawk
2. Jimmy Wiiliams
3. D'brickashaw Ferguson

I know some of you might disagree but hear me out... If it was up to me, I would draft AJ Hawk. With Thomas aging and Seau about done right now, I say we get a future star at LB. Hawk and Crowder would be a big time duo at LB in a few years to come if we can get him.

I like all 3, but I think Ferguson is the 2nd best prospect in the draft, behind Leinart. If Houston ends up with the top pick I think it is more likely that Leinart will be available, but who knows what will happen. Hawk is very good, as is Williams and I wouldn't mind seeing either one in a Phins uniform, but Ferguson and Leinart are the two prospects who are soo much better than the 2nd rated LT and Qb in the draft that I don't think the team could afford to pass them up. Ferguson will be a top 3 pick, IMO and if the team is up that high in the draft I would rather trade up to get Leinart, but that is a different debate all together.

Id go Jimmy Williams, D'Brickashaw then Hawk I think. But if you put D'Brickashaw a head of Williams I wouldnt be disappointed at all

it all depends on what we do in free agency. The o-line has gotten better but he'd be hard to pass on.The secondary needs a playmaker so Williams is a good choice and we could use a LB like Hawk but unless we don't get a QB in free agency then we migth take one with our 1st pick.

Ozzy rules!!

Although we are really struggling right now in the secondary i'm going to go with AJ Hawk.

1. I think the O-line is playing lights out on passing downs giving Gus a lot of time and the running game is working well when we run consistently and with Ronnie therefore I don't see that as our biggest need.
2. I know the secondary is the biggest problem on the team apart from QB but we will have Poole back next year, Madison will be coming back, Jones will be back from injury, Schulters is serviceable and Daniels will have a full year in the pros and then we have Mitchell who Saban would have drafted had he not been injured in workouts. Therefore I think we give Madison, Poole, Daniels and Mitchell a chance to show their worth next season.
3. I think AJ Hawk is just a better player than Williams and Ferguson. It would be great also to have Hawk move to OLB and have Zach in the middle and Crowder on the other side. That would be a very fast linebacking unit that would have a great pass rush, with experience.

If all three of those guys are there for us?

D'brickashaw Ferguson...it is'nt even that close in my opinion.

The guy could be a franchise left tackle. Those don't come along that often.

If he is there for us and we passed I'd snap (unless we were picking #1 and took Leinart.)

I'd rather trade up for Leinart but if we can't then I'd say D'brickashaw Ferguson. We've been phenomenal in getting quality LB's in the later rounds like Pope, Crowder, Thomas, even Bua. AJ Hawk can be a future star at LB, but with D'Brick and a later drafted LB, we can potentially have both a future star at LT and a possible future Thomas clone. It's all about risks and if you're gonna take risks, might as well take a lot of them so probability will be in your favor.

OT is still a concearn for miami but not nearly as much as we projected...right now it looks like trading surtain has seriously hurt us. So i'd say take Jimmy Williams ;)

Larry Csonka.

I know what you're gonna say, we already have two great backs, yaddayaddayadda. But you can never have too many great hall-of-fame fullbacks.

You can't depend on 3 DB's coming back from injury. Fins need at least 2 CBs. Also, how much longer is Madison going to last? 4th round picks ain't gonna cut it. They need a big upgrade in talent. Doesanybody really think this guy Mitchell's gonna do anything? It's amazing how people on this web site get wrapped up in fringe players.
