I have a thread on Matthews but, there are a number of other young Phins players who can step up this year.

On D, there is

Jamar Taylor
Dion Jordan
OV, to a degree.
And maybe Will Davis, Jelani Jenkins, Will Davis, and Derrick Shelby.

On O

Lamar Miller
Dion Sims
Sam Brenner
Charles Clay, to a degree.
And maybe Dallas Thomas

Who do you see stepping it up this year?
 
Well Taylor cant possibly do any worse.

I know he was hurt and part of the reason he didnt get a lot of playing time was because Caroll and Grimes played well.
But I would like to see how he does when healthy.
 
I think L Miller, D Jordan, Will Davis, and Jamar Taylor need to show something this year. if not, might be the most epic draft bust of all time. Problem is that it seems hard to get playing time as a rook with our coach. that said, if our youngsters don't step up we'll be drafting top 10 next year. I have faith though. Fins up!
 
If we get a good pass catching tight end then Charles Clay will be even more deadly. Imagine the year Clay would have had if Keller did not get hurt.
 
OV and Clay already broke out. OV was undoubtedly the best defensive lineman in the 2nd half of the season. Clay was our most consistent receiver last year.

They already did step up.. The guys we need to step up on D are Ellerbe, Wheeler, Jones, Davis and Taylor.

On O we need Wallace, Miller and RT to step up, and the entire O line. The rest were pretty decent.

OV stepped up on sacks but, was worse on the run, and did not play well overall in the pass rush.

Clay stepped up but, is still learning how o play TE, which he has said, and credited Keller for a lot of help in preseason.

I think Davis is more of a project, who will take another year to evaluate. Agree on Miller, Jordan and Thomas. We got little from any of them last year, and that has to change.
 
Will davis looks like a classic 3 year development player hopefully the next season he breaks out. I really hope Miller steps up, it might be hard with moreno and a rookie. Carlos hyde would be an excellent compliment. Might be too high though. Jordan and Taylor are gonna have great years i think.

Miller has some tuff competition in Moreno. Jordan has tuff competition in OV. Taylor has tuff competition in Finnegen. They will not be handed anything from Philbin, and will have to earn every snap. What could be better?

Yes, we can add Tannehill, and I expect a GREAT year from him.
 
L Miller, D Jordan, Will Davis, and Jamar Taylor..... I think we see a huge improvement out of all 4 this coming up season.. I would include D.Thomas if he's in a Dolphins uni... Is Thigpen going to improve in ST's??? Very disappointed last season with him..
