Its been hard to get onto the site today!

What are your thoughts so far after two picks?

Ginn makes me sick to my stomach, did not want him, a 1st round pick for a PR and Kr turns my stomach. Hopefully someone can teach him to run routes.

Beck intrigues me, I wanted Quinn, but it seems people compare Beck with Brees, so I guess I can see why Cam likes him.

So 1 hit, and 1 miss (ginn)

I can't stop puking thinking how we waste a 1st round pick on Ginn, considering that Quinn was available to us.
Not sure about Beck.....26 years old rookie?

I am still in shock. Hopefully it gets better. As far as for the 150,000 phin dollars, Brothers King Crowder, and Crunchtime both had Beck with the first 2nd round pick. The edge goes to King Crowder since his picks were in first.

Well, with the third pick, Samson Satele C

Not upset, has an upside and we need O-line help.

I am not that disappointed, I was never that big a fan of Quinn, and quite frankly the speed that Ginn brings is refreshing, The You Tube that was up in VIP was amazing. He runs a 10.2 100M, and a 4.3 ish 40! The games I saw him against UMinn he was damn good, ran one back against us too the *******. I am happy to have him on my team. Beck is also another one I like, he can scramble, is mature has a good arm strength and decent accuracy. Satele was a decent pick too, a good C that played guard in college, has decent hands and finishes off his plays. Then Lorenzo Booker, another good pick I liked him in College and he will add a different look to to RB and RW if he stays. I wish Spaeth had lasted to the 4th, as I would have taken him there. But the Steelers got a great TE there, hard worker, good hands, blocks well, and plays hard and will play hurt.

It didnt go down the way many of us thought but we accomplished the position needs on the first day except for the LT.

IMO we assumed the QB need would be addressed in the first round but obviously the F.O felt that the second tier QBs were as good or better than Quinn.

There were many experts that felt that the best wrs were going to be gone by our turn in the second round. In fact my mock had them all gone by the second but a couple slipped through,Mueller had no way of knowing that and decided to take the best WR with the first pick and go for the QB in the second round,I believe they got their man just as I believe they wanted Satele all along.

The only major position we didnt address in the first round was LT.They had a chance to trade up to take Staley but I think they were more concerned with assuring Beck.

I think they will unearth a OT on the second day.On my original mock I had Harris but changed it because I thought we would draft Brown in the first.

BTW I dont think Lorenzo Booker was drafted to replace Ricky but to replace the third RB spot left vacant by Morris and Minor

My only problem with it is that I don't think he was the best WR available. Not even close without the KR benefit. Definitely think he went about 10 spots to high. I think Meachem and Bowe were both better all around WRs. Granted Ginn will help with the KR duties still has me disappointed.

Granted I'm sure I'll get over it by gameday and will be excited to watch every kick return.

I like the Beck pick alot, big relief to see we spent our next highest pick on a QB. Hopefully he can pickup the playbook quick and be in a position to challenge for the starting spot by next season at the latest.

Like the Satele pick as well, was hoping for Kalil but he's the next best thing. Hopefully he can contribute quickly.

Didn't like the Booker pick at all. Not with a few quality lineman still on the board. We need to solidify the Oline first and foremost before we put guys behind it.

Derek I agree like you said, but I also think as insurance to protect the club in case anything happens with Ricky.
