Besides Dan Marino, as I'm sure it is for many fans.... who's your favorite Miami Dolphin who happened to also be a first round pick by the fins? (not including the trade deal for Ricky Williams scenario) Two great ones come to mind:
Louis Oliver (tremedous help for a not so great secondary) & Tim Bowens (solid, consistent, and often dominating for many games during his career)

Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Richmond Webb and Tim Bowens.

I Forgot about Csonka and Webb.... Csonka was a great addition to a great team. Webb was solid and handled Bruce Smith everytime we played the Jills.
Oliver and Bowens I think helped out a defense that was desperate for help

Randy Moss - ooops oohhh yeah JJ goofed on that one.

Let me think

Larry Fitzgerald - Oooppss Dave goofed on that also.

But Really my Fav was John Avery.

Csonka came aboard before the Dolphins were great. That didn't happen until Shula arrived.

Troy Vincent. He was good in his day.
O.J MCduffie- PSu prospect
Ronnie Brown :)

After looking over the list of first rounders we have had, it is clear that we have had a lot more busts than good to great players. No wonder we have not won a SB in 33+ years. :(

Cool, thanks for the list....
I forgot Duhe was a 1st rounder.... Kinda liked Gardner (without the attitude) Always wished Randall Hill and Yatil Green turned into great recievers for Marino.
Not hitting on Milner, Green, Avery, Fletcher I think really hurt us too many 1st picks that amounted to squat

couldnt you also say that ricky = 3 1st rd picks and eddie moore and patrick were 2nd picks whe he had no 1st rd picks those years ?:boohoo: :cooldude: :ninja:

most of our draft bust came when wanny and saban took over, but we did good with gardener , bowens, webb, mcduffy, brown , greise and marino , troy vincentt, and louis oliver my new found hero.
when i think of all the guys we missed out on , i just want to strangle a couple of knotheads.
