Your favorite/most anticipated change for '05.

1. Watching Saban operate during the draft and free agency. It is a breath of fresh air. He is far superior to anyone we've had here in a long time.

2. Watching defense develop from "vanilla" to "unleashing the hounds of hell"-- sic 'em JT, Roth, Crowder, Zach! Seriously, Even the players themselves have been saying for the last couple of years that our scheme is too predictable. I think our defense will turn from statistically very good to truly dominating this year and even more so next year as the younger guys mesh, Saban's system has a chance to set in, and as Mueller and Saban exercise the sound judgement in the offseason displayed this year to rebuild the defense of Miami's future. I am very excited.

The entire offensive backfield. Also how Scott can help us eliminate stupid mistakes.

The departure of Wannstedt and Fiedler is a dream I have been waiting on and anticipating for years. Having those guys off my beloved team alone has made the upcoming season a good one for me, regardless of what our record turns out to be. Everything else, like Saban as HC, or getting a respected OC and Oline coach, or our draft picks and FA's, is just gravy.

  1. The changes to our powder puff OFFENSE
  2. The Head Coaching change
  3. All the new assistants
  4. New defensive schemes
  5. New players (old reliables) across the board
  6. New attitude from players and coaches
  7. A fresh clean slate to start the '05 season
  8. Feeling a sense of urgency

I am most intertested in seeing what the O-line will look like in a running posture. We all know they had their problems giving the QB time to make reads but I believe Houck will fix that as he did here in San diego. It's the run blocking that worries me, because that was a problem even in '03 when Ricky was still here. I think if Houck can develop that same mentality in them as he did in the Charger O-line, we might surprise some folk who are predicting 5 or 6 wins. I personally see about 9 or even 10.

Im on the Saban bandwagon. He is the sole best move of the offseason, everything else trickles down from there. Im really looking forward to our revamped offense and our retooled defense.

my favourite change is hudson houck and the changes to the o-line (scheme, mcdougle, hadnot starting, carey at LT etc.). GAMES ARE WON AND LOST IN THE TRENCHES. i can't think of a team with a great o-line that isn't good. For that matter i can't think of a team thats good that doesn't have a great o-line. all the teams that made the playoffs last year have great o-lines or o-line schemes.

I agree, this the area I'm most interest in seeing the new developements.
