Let me start this off by saying that I am very glad that we have quite a few NAtionally televised games this year. My buddy has the dish and lives close by so I can watch every game anyway and never miss one........BUT!

My family knows how huge a fan I am and that I cannot be bothered when watching the game. I watch it with my crew and my wife isn't invited nor are theirs. So having the Thanksgiving game and one on Christmas just makes it even more of a pain in the *** to get away from everybody. Then you have the aunts and in-laws who don't understand how truly important football is to my life and they start asking why we have to leave or why I'm in the other room by myself.

And another thing. Are you guys happy that ESPN gets the Sunday night games and the Monday night games now. And the thought of FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING so that primetime games can be added down the line means they may change the scheduled day or time of games in weeks 11-17. I don't know. MAybe it's me but too many nationally televised games might be a bad thing for the NFL. It may lose part of it's mystique or dominance in the world of sports. I love the NFL more than anyone...trust me. What do you guys think. Is the NFL "going commercial"!!!!!!!!!!! Will they lose the "average fan" (which I am not)

I think the last thing anybody willl ever worry about is the NFL "going commercial." If anything we need more prime time games. Do you know how lame it is for a majority of the fans in the NFL to have to see their team by only a series of clips on Primetime? Don't you remember how bad it was for non-dish dolfans during the 2004 season? All we got to see of the fins was 30-second overviews on Primetime.

Not everybody is a Dallas, Philly, or Pats fan. Look at the Raiders and Packers, they suck it up last year and they get like 3-4 primetime games this year??? Is that fair?? No, so the more chances for fans of the "other teams" to actually see their teams is great for the NFL as a whole.

Plus, you do know that ESPN does not have Sunday games anymore, right?? It's NBC who has those games and they will be called by Madden and Al Michaels. I don't know how they managed it, but they got the cream of the crop, and that's with out adding in the flex games which are sure to be top-notch. ESPN's Monday Night games are terrible.

And finally, Miami in Holliday games are great for me, it allows my family and friends to see just how great the Phins are. Plus, let's hope they bring out the retro jerseys this Thanksgiving.

I like holiday games a lot. They are fun to watch with the family and the Dolphins bring out the Orange jerseys in them sometimes. I wish the Dolphins wore those more often. They are lucky! :dolphins:

the holiday games are awesome. i hope we play with the orange jerseys on christmas day. that would be pretty sweet.

I hate the christmas game. My dad is a jets fan and we go to both games each year but i cant go to the Christmas game. Sucks, its a few days for my dad and i to get away..

The consulation prize is the money spent on that trip will go towards better seats in the meadowlands....Im right there with ya bro!!

the holiday games are a blessing for me in NYC area, because i go to bars to watch the normal sunday games... but i cant go to bars on thanksgiving and christmas, so luckily i wont have to and i'll still be able to catch the games... im pumped...

espeically christmas night... my family has always kinda done a christmas eve celebration with the kids opening gifts and **** christmas morning then christmas evening is really nothing... so i'll be able to go home after all tohse festivities and watch the dolphins...

cant wait for the season to start, and its still so far away! :(

The Thanksgiving game is an early game that will be over well before my family or the wifes family even get to my house, so it`s not that big of deal. As far as the Christmas game...I love it, it will definitely be on the big screen TV in the den (where everybody will be) because it`s my house. Hell, when we played Detroit in `94, I was visiting family in Seattle, and they didn`t have cable (it was an ESPN game), so I ate early and drove to a bar to watch. KevinRI grow a pair, you tell your family that it`s the Dolphins, and you`re watchin`!!

I love primetime games. I vote that finheaven has a christmas get together to spread some good will and cheer to Jets fans.

im with arsenal but not in nyc im in ohio so the only way i get to see most the fins games is at the bar or a buddy's house.so with the holliday games i will b able to hang out at my own house & watch the games on the 64'' big screen & it seems like when i get to watch the games at my own house we win more.

i love to watch the dolphins woop up on someone on holidays...makes holidays better too

Thankfully at my family gatherings, even ones that include others than immediate, we always watch football. It's sort of a ritual to have Thanksgiving dinner while watching football.

I like holiday games. I watch them with the rest of my family and my family is a big Miami fan family so its always fun.

I say you stop being sucha SCUM BAG. Will it KILL you to watch the Dolphin game with your family members around??
I'm very much looking forward to Thanksgiving Day & watching the game with my uncle, cousins, etc...NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!
I'm also looking forward to Christmas Day very much. After everybody comes over and we all have a turkey, & beers, & exchange gifts and everything, at 5pm I hop in the car with my Fellow Season Ticket RIDAZ and spark one up in the air while we drive into the sunset towards our Monday Night Crazyness.

my entire family consists of dolphin fans....it brings us closer together on thanksgiving. i love it!

Exactly! Same here. Every thanksgiving we're watching Football anyway while we wait for the Feast...Having the Dolphins play just makes it THAT MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE.
