Hey i just wanted to get your opinion about Zach Thomas, because honostley I dont think hes getting the respect he deserves everyone says hes to small he cant work in this new scheme he cant take on blocks, isn't this man going to the pro bowl and didnt he lead his team in takles AGAIN!!!! this man plays with a heart on him bigger than his body is.... and i think he shoulda got the deffensive player of the year this guy could get hit by a truck and hed still finish the seasone leading his team in takles and in the to 3 in the league im sorry but this man is getting over looked big time!!!!!

Hogwash...he gets respect from every team we play and that is good enough. He could care less what anyone says about his abilities except the opposing team and he gets plenty of respect, don't kid yourself....

Zach is great! He has great insticts, speed, works and prepares endlessly. He can be blocke but so can Urlacher. Zach does'nt have the size of Ray Lewis or Urlacher, has consistantly plays at an all pro level. Zach, should lead the team in tackles next year also. I wouldn't want to trade Zach, but we may be able to trade him for a #1 to a team that thinks it is one stud defensive player away from the next level, Giants,Vikings,KC,SD,Dallas.
Keep Zach but if someone wants to give us #1, I think Nick goes for it.

If he doesnt get respect its because he doesnt have prototype size and speed.

Even some of our own fans dont respect him because he gets beaten once in a while when he is mismatched.

Thats ridiculous because even the best HOF LBs get beaten if they are mismatched.

Ounce for ounze he is the best LB in the NFL.He is also the most cerebral LB in the NFL.Opponents know that and they always have to account for Zach just as they do with JT.

Not from the press he dont. they always say there is someone better or bigger. sure he couldn't care less, but that dont mean people aren't saying it. brit press reckon he shouldn't be going to the Pro Bowl :fire:

I agree, just look at other teams game plans on D....they try to take him out of games. That is respect.

Zach is going to retire as a Dolphin

I certainly hope so. He does seem to be much happier than in the past couple of years. I think he stays another 2 and at most 3 years and then calls it quits.

Maybe sooner rather than later.

Everyone I talk football with respects Zach. Alot.
Zach may shock everyone and retire this offseason. Saban is very intent on making this team younger in several areas. The writing really is on the wall for several of the older players. I predict that Zach Thomas will only play through the 2006 season then hang it up.

Who cares what the media says? Sure as hell not Zach. If the media dosnt respect him? Whatever... If the opposition dosnt respect him, even better, they will learn the hard way

I hope you are wrong, I`m al for getting younger on defense, But I don`t want to se Zach go :(

That's why Zach Thomas and Derrick Pope are my favorite LB's. (I know this is only about Zach, but I like them both for the same reasons).

Thomas and Pope are undersized (5'11" 228 and 6'0" 232 respectively), but they both flat out devastated. Matter of fact, we are starting to have history of so-called undersized players.

Zach Thomas
Derrick Pope
Wes Welker
Jason Taylor (though, I didn't know he was considered undersized until recently. Honestly, with his sack record, would you?)
Sammy Morris (He knows how to lay a block as a FB).

ZT has been to what? A bazillion Pro Bowls?

You bet ZT gets respect from football players, who, are basically all I care about.

A team's tradition is carried on by true fans, not by the press or, anyone else.

Respect comes from peers.....True respect, not hype.

ZT will be in the HOF.

I care not what others say.

We know how good he is.

Crying about it only makes it worse.

A little song i wrote for ZACH tell me what ya think this man is my favorite player!! MAnnnnnnnnnnnnn watch out as he comes through bustin in your line cracken helments in to he brings the pain so watch ya gonna do just stand there and sh sh sh shake in ya shoes. so clean out ur locker hes out to get ya!!!!! LOL i know it might be a little dumb but i love this guy!!!!!! GO MIAMI

Zach and Jason Taylor are such good friends that if one stays on the team the other will probably want to stay also. Lets hope they both want to stay at least a couple of more seasons!
