Who do you think are the top 10 most important players on the Dolphins in 2008/

1. Chad Pennington- really just stabalized the qb position and the entire offense.

2. Yerimiah Bell- He was in on alot of plays and made many td and first down saving tackles.

3. Ricky Williams- You may be like what ronnie was the bigger threat. But Ricky was more dynamic than brown this year. He made some key catches and key blocks and runs that really allowed this offense to play well.

4. Ronnie Brown- Really took control and responsibilty for this teams run game.

5. Joey Porter- 17.5 sacks is a lot. He made some key plays and always seemed to get a big sack to seal the deal.

6. Jason Ferguson/ Vonnie Holliday- They arent flashy, dont get many sacks but these two guys really played well all year long and were a huge part from our run d going from worst to respectable and even suffacting at times.

7. Andre Goodman- He really showed up to play at the end fof the year. Not only was he a pick machine, he really covered well. I never htought i'd see the day that Andre Goodman of all players would actually be playing like a surtain or madison type.

8. Patrick Cobbs. since when is a third string RB more important than any receiver. He played great special teams. Was always one of the first downfield to make a ST tackle. Opened up the wildcat even more in the later weeks. Started returning kicks and doing it better than Ginn and Bess.

9. Renaldo Hill- Did anybody notice that onceh e got into the lineup over Crocker that ourt pass d improved dramatically. I've always liked Hill and he has a knack for the ball and getting turnovers.

10. I could put Fasano here, or Ginn. But I feel that Jake Long was a huge factor in this teams increased level of pass protection.

Now there are countless players that have made huge contributions to this team: Will Allen, Crowder, Fasano, Bess, Ginn. I didnt put any of our pass targets maily because I wasnt too impressed with them for the most part. I feel it was due to Chads ability to always find the guy who had the best shot at catching the bal. Im not saying they didnt play well, but i thin kchad could have gotten it done with anybody.

You have Jake FAR too low, my man. You could even argue that he's 1B to Penny's 1A. He's the central key to the Wildcat offense(when moved to the strongside). He's the central Key that kept Pennington staying upright more often than not this year. He's going to be a perinnial all pro when it's all said and done.

i totaly agree jake is a beast and just chad knowing that his back is protected makes him a better qb.

Two many players to only choose ten. I feel like it would take me hours to really widdle it down to 10 players.

Interesting, for a player that's supposed to be the "QB of the defense" Channing doesn't make your list. I think his lack of standing out says a lot about his contribution. Maybe it's just the system, cause we sure don't have a superstar on offense, but Channing should be in the top 10 considering the importance of his roll.

They are all important but my Top Ten would be:

1. Chad Pennington
2. Ronnie Brown
3. Y-Bell
4. Joey Porter
5. Ricky Williams
6. Jake Long
7. Vonnie Holliday
8. Channing Crowder (good and bad)
9. Ginn/Bess (have to go with both).
10. Dan Carpenter

1. Chad Pennington
2. Yeremiah Bell
3. Ronnie Brown
4. Joey Porter
5. Ricky Williams
6. Teddy Ginn Jr.
7. Jason Ferguson
8. Jake Long
9. Anthony Fasano
10. Dan Carpenter

A Bonus 5...
11. Channing Crowder
12. Vonnie Holliday
13. Davone Bess
14. Lousaka Polite
15. Patrick Cobbs

1. Pennington
2. Long
3. Ronnie
4. Ricky
5. Porter
6. Fasano (hugely underrated)
7. Bell
8. Goodman
9. Carpenter
10. Bess/Ginn/Camarillo (hard to pick one - solid seasons from each)

I KNEW IT. NONE OF YOU STINKY GUYS GIVE THIS MAN ANY CREDIT!

Erik Walden is top 10, no questions asked.

He is our specials team

Here is my list
1.) Jake Long - awesome performance by rookie LT protecting the QB
2.) Pennington - best performance by a Miami QB since #13. 2nd highest rated QB rating in the NFL.
3.) Porter - revived his career with 17.5 sacks causing havoc all year
4.) Davone Bess - UFA WR picked up in stride for injured Camarillo
5.) Ricky - even after being away from the game for a while still at top 10, #2 back
6.) Ronnie - great performance after coming off the injury last year; runs the Wildcat
7.) Carpenter - rookie UFA kicker comes through with great kicks all year
8.) Goodman - Playing like a pro-bowl CB down the stretch
9.) Bell - Always been a great player finally stayed healthy
10.) Fasano - Dissapeared at times during the season but wow 7 TD catches.

1. Chad Pennington - The QB we have needed for soooo long
2. Jake Long - Beast, I think our hearts skipped a beat in that New England game when he went down.
3. Joey Porter - The pash rusher, teams have to game plan for him . . . he requires ALOT of attention on D.
4. Ronnie Brown - The wildcat himself, probably would be higher but we have great depth at RB.
5. Yeremiah Bell - Has been our most consistent player on Defense all year
6. Channing Crowder - Our man in the middle, Channing is AROUND the ball . . . he was sorely missed against KC.
7. Jason Ferguson - We saw what his loss did to us against Bmore earlier this year, we need a solid NT to be successful, Fergie is solid.
8. Ted Ginn Jr. - He keeps the D honest with his speed, teams gameplan for him, he is getting better and better.
9. Andre Goodman - Has emerged IMO as our best cover CB
10. Will Allen - Our #1 CB has put together another solid season for the Fins.

11. Anthony Fasano
12. Vernon Carey
13. Kendall Langford
14. Ricky Williams
15. Davone Bess

16. Vonnie Holiday - Only reason he isn't higher is because of Merling/Starks . . . great depth behind him, but his leadership is major.
17. Samson Satele
18. Matt Roth
19. Patrick Cobbs
20. David Martin

21. Renaldo Hill
22. Akin Ayodele
23. Lousaka Polite
24. Ikechuku Ndukwe
25. Randy Starks

26. Phillip Merling

Shout out to Dan Carpenter & Chad Henne, but I'm not including kickers or future QB's on my list. Obviously Donald Thomas, Smiley and Camarillo would have made this list, but I'm not including injured reserved guys either.

1. Pennington
2. Long
3. Porter
4. Brown
5. Bell
6. Fasano
7. Williams
8. Ferguson
9. Ginn
10. Goodman

Bonus: Bess, Cobbs & Polite

Don't want to do a whole list, but I think some of you have to put Ginn higher, he is always doubled and opens up a lot for camarillo/bess for the underneath stuff... And also when he is single covered he'll make plays (TD pass this week, Bills game, etc)
