I just recently had an interesting exchange with some posters in your board--which some had valid points...But I just wanted to get the overall feel of the board and your thoughts...plus Ive never created a poll so this is the first one.

"IF you were given a brand new franchise to manage, and you had to pick your Tight-End, your 2 choices, Antonio Gates or Randy McMichael---who do you choose?

(Disclaimer) - And by no means is this a smack talk thread, just getting opinions.

Gates over McMike, never really sure which McMike we will get from week to week. Ihave never really been all that sold on McMike, he makes some good grabs but he wrenches your heart out every week with what seems to be a lack of concentration on easy arse catches.

I'd have to go with gates mcmike seems to lose his concentration and fumbles more than gates does and gates just seems to produce more lately. Now don.t get me wrong I like mcmike but I would just like more effort

Wrong place to ask ...........OBviously youll geta a bias for mcmichael

Doesn't look like it so far.

I love McMike, he came out of the gate on fire. He hasn't done much since. Once we have a real QB, McMike and Chambers will be instant pro bowlers, I truely believe that. But until then gotta give Gates the nod over McMike. He consistantly puts up good numbers.

Hopefully it will be McMichael, the better TE of the two for the week though.

Seriously, hard to say. I know Gates is very, very good but don't know him as well as Mc Mike. I guess I'll be a homer and say Mc Mike.

I'd take McMike. He's becoming a more complete player under Huock and if I'm not mistaken he's a bit cheaper.

McMike is a true, vocal leader. Team wise, yeah.

Its so close. I don't know how good Gates is at blocking. McMike is pretty nasty. I mean, complete TE...

ESPN has hyped up the receiving TEs that they forget that the position calls for several different jobs.

great point. that has to be factored in. mcmike has turned into a very good blocker as well. i dont know enough about gates' blocking.

i think to say he isnt consistant is not fair. gates is thrown the ball far more times than randy

you get an accurate qb in here and you'll see randy with 70+ catches every year
