I just checked and learned that Z Thomas had 155 tackles his rookie year? about 3 int's 1 td and 3 sacks i believe....the one that surprises me is the 155 tackles! ur kidding me! thats insane! and he was a 4th rd? 5th? only 1 season below 100 and that was 99 tackles. :( loll and i thought cc was a great lb for a rookie with 84, apparently not compared to ZT

I've already given my girlfriend the go-ahead to sleep with Zach if she gets the chance.

Yeah teams passed on him because he was "undersized" but you can't measure a players heart... he proves that... Doug Flutie style

His stats are slightly better than Ray Lewis's and Ray gets all the pub and hype....but I would still take Zach first at LB.

5th round, pick 22 I believe.

He did it the hard way, there were only a couple of teams that even went to watch him play college because his coach apparently wouldn't give a recommendation for him.

So he sent out letters to every team saying he was 6-4 250 and a great player and 4 teams came to watch him and only the fins and someone else stayed to watch apparently.

May not be true, someone could probably quash or verify it on the board but I have heard it somewhere.

Played better than Ray Lewis in his rookie year who was drafted in the 1st.

and that 99 tkl season was only because he was injured. ;)

He was injured alot in 2004...and he still piled on 100+ tackles.

This guy is a winner, man.

Actually he was a 5th round choice and Jack Del Rio retired after JJ signed him to be the starter but ZT was so good he took the job and Del Rio chose to retire. A little tid bit I am sure some have forgotten. The year he didn't crack 100 was due to an injury that forced him to miss a lot of games. I think Brock Marion led the team that year.
