"I have not called plays before. I have called 1000 games in my head. I have absolutely prepared [for this]. There is no substitute for experience. But I have all the confidence with the staff around me."

### On his philosophy: "We are going to run the ball. OK? I can't sit here and say we're going to run 10 straight times. It's important our players have that mindset. It's important for any offense to get that thing going.

"We are going to streamline what we do on offense; we're going to simplify it. It's on them as players and coaches to get this thing straight and start scoring some points... We need to be balanced. As long as we achieve balance, the points will come."

### Will Ryan Tannehill be given more freedom to audible? "Those are things we're still discussing.... Everything is on the table."

### Has Tannehill been hamstrung? "We've always put a lot on his plate. I don't think in any way he has been hamstrung. He's a smart guy. He can handle anything.... We've always had a great relationship. It's important for him to have plays where he can be accurate."

### "We have to find ways for our players to play with confidence.... We're going to evaluate everything we do... .[But] we believe in this system, what we've been doing. We just have to find ways to be more effective. There may be some different things we throw around as a stuff, but to say we're going to abandon what we've been doing, we all believe in this. We've had success in this system... I trust we're all going to be on the same page."

### Taylor said he will seek advice from former Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, his father-in-law: "He has been a huge influence in my life, in many ways. I learned a lot of football from him. I talk to him almost weekly."

### On this turn of events: "This is not ideal. This is not how I dreamed up the situation happening. Bill Lazor was awesome to me. He took the fall for us. I feel awful for Bill. I saw the guy put his heart and soul [into this]."

If they plan on running the ball then it isn't Lazor's system.

Its all coach speak. We won't know anything until we play a game

We all believe in the system! Well you're all a bunch of dumbasses then!

We shall see. Could just be trying to hide what he's planning to do from here on out. Let our opponents think we're sticking to Lazor's ideas, then surprise em' with new concepts.

I really hope at least Tannehill can audible a bit; if he still can't change plays, I don't believe he's going to get any better against good teams with such a weak O-Line that requires in-game adjustments to produce.

Return of the Go-Go offense?

well they are forced to use that system. It's a book with plays. Maybe Zac opens it up, calls different plays, or allows audibles.

It isn't April, it's Dec, so the playbook is the playbook. It isn't Tecmo Bowl

This is going to be so basic and vanilla offense. I bet it is WORSE than we have seen.

Miami will have a top five pick.

Plus, the Monday Nighter will be an embarrassment to South Florida. So frustrating.

What else can he do? Roster is built for Lazors offense and playbook. Team has practiced it all year. He can't just switch to a power running game. We're stuck without blocking TEs, a fullback, an H-back, or lineman that can get a push on the d-line. It's not as if it matters at this point anyways.

If we lose out and the 49ers can win a game somewhere in the last 5 we'll be picking 4th.

Lazor's play-calling was much worse than the actual plays themselves. Honestly, a lot of the plays were pretty nifty and did some good, creative things. It's just choosing which play to run at a given time that Lazor was so bad at.

Remember how enthusiastic we were in the offseason regarding Lazor? Remember how many people here wanted to keep Lazor if Philbin was fired? Remember all those great running plays we had against New England in that opening game last year? Those were well-designed, creative plays. Lazor just got so rigid in his patterns that he was incredibly predictable. He was constantly trying to put a square peg in a round hole.
Perfect example was when we had the WR bunch formation on the right. WE ALL KNEW it was going to be a hitch to Landry with the other receivers blocking. The defense knew it, too, and it was an incredible play by Landry to avoid losing 6 yards. I think he muscled away and got back to the LOS. We run that play 10 times a game. It's not a bad play, but it's a bad play if you run it more than once a game.

Can't install a completely different system with 5 games left.

I'm sure they will try to commit more to the running game, though there's no guarantee it'll result in more points. Our OL isn't good enough, which is why our running game is sometimes non-existent vs. good run D's.

I appreciate Campbell trying to be more "physical" on offense, but this team was built as a finesse team by Joe Philbin. We simply don't have the personnel to be a tough, physical offense.

We do need to be more balanced, and I'm sure that's what Taylor will try to accomplish. Can't have Ryan throwing 60 times a game.

We'll see what happens, not expecting much but it doesn't really matter anyway, we're getting a new CS in 2016.

You can't tell anything from these comments.

Lets see what happens...........I'll bet it is interesting and I'll bet we still pass 50% of the time....which will be an improvement.
