Just finished watching Zach's interview on Dolphins Insider and it was very good to see him excited about the new defense. He actually talked with enthusiasm about the new scheme and said he was excited about the unpredictability of it. He mentioned that it will now be much tougher for teams to get a blocker on him because of having to wait so long to see what is developing on the line. He had a grin on his face when he said he would be allowed to blitz more. With all the speculation about Saban's authoritarian approach causing conflict with the veterans, it was refreshing to see Zach has bought in to the new program enthusiastically, and if he has, so will the rest of the defense.

Another positive from the interview was Zach's assessment of Channing Crowder, who he called smart, fast, and big. He said Crowder can play all the linebacker positions and will be a very good LB in the NFL. Knowing how Zach plays and prepares, this is high praise and bodes very well for Crowder's potential in this league. If he can stay healthy, he might actually turn out to be our best pick.

The biggest problem is that there is going to be a LOT of thinking involved in execution of this D. They're going to have to get an awful lot of reps to get this thing put together.

That's very true, but if Saban knows the system as well as Bellicheck (which I'm certain he does), he'll find the players he needs to play in the system. The players who come through to this level should be able to learn this system.
