The tackels stat is a very overrated stat, tackles 5 yards down the field don't mean much. The jets had a MLB in Kyle Clifton whp used to average around 200 tackles a year but he was not great he just had alot of opprtunities to make tackles since we were mostly bad. Zach is a good player but ahs never been a great player.



For once? We have been as good or better for 8 years and we have dominated you guys since '98. Opposite results of last year/ We haven't been as bad as 4-12 since 1996 and you guys haven't made the playoffs since 2001.



if I were you I'd be worried about this jets team that is better than yuo and has dominated you winning 11 of 14 instead of worrying where Zach Thomas is rated. Good player, always has been but never great and it's an insult to ray lewis to mention them in the same sentence. Go check ray Lewis' D's in the playoffs and see if they have been thrashed the way the D's Zach has led have.

Dude, I know you're a Jets fan so you automatically start off in the hole. However, I don't see how you ar anyone can qualify tackles. There is no stat that seperates tackles for a loss and tackles for a gain. Tackles are tackles. Your team has less tackles because they are lesser tacklers. It's very simple.

And don't jump up on your bandwagon because you happened to have a good year compared to us for once last year. Zach has led the league many times in Tackles over your players when both our teams had opposite results of last year.

If I were you, I'd concern myself with the Jets and why they are all acting like Carnies lately. You can't throw, run, catch or defend. Your coach is helpless and has no control over the mayhem. Your players are punching each other in the face on your own sideline. I think I remember in Ghostbusters, them quoting that all these things are the sign of the apocalypse!

So again we only go by 1 home game? I guess Chris Baker is much better than Randy mcMicael since he played a much better game last week? It's 1 game, older players tend to wear down as the season moves along like Zach did last year.

When you say "as good or better", I assume you're referring to strictly head-to-head matchups, because as you can see from the above, the Dolphins have finished higher than the Jets in 4 of the last 8 years. You are correct about the Jets dominating the Dolphins; however, during that streak from 1998-2001 when the Jets won 8 straight, it's interesting to note that in only one of those years (1998) did the Jets finish ahead of the Dolphins in the standings.

Seriously, you talk like Zach Thomas is a rookie, he has been in the league for ten years and has been one of the top linebackers during that time and was argueably the best linebacker in the league last week, if you don't think so just check out his plays on the goal line stands against the Broncos last week which was only part of his brilliance in that game.

And Zach Thomas didn't wear down last year, he got hurt, just like any other NFL player in the league today, young or old.

Intersting how you skip '98. '98 we were 12-4, you 10-6 and we swept you, '99 it was a 1 game difference and we played the season w/ Rick Mirer and Ray Lucas at QB and oh by the way we swept you again, '00 we swept you but folded late, '01 1 game difference and we swept you again, '02 we won division same record and aplit, '03 we were 6-10 and you finally swept us and last year were swept you again and had 6 more regs season wins. Oh and we have made the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years while you haven't made it since 2001.

We'll see if he can keep that up. His career is on the decline, t happens he's getting old. This is his 10th year, he'll still have good moments but not as consistently as he used to.
