Zach Thomas left off TSN's top 100 NFL players list

Would love to see a top 20 NFL linebacker ranking from you. Just to see who you have rated above Zach Thomas....or would he even make your top 20?

:rolleyes2

I did ti about 2 mos ago, look up my old posts. I'm not doing it again b Zach is not a top 5 MLB and certainly not a top 5 LB overall. Off the top of my head I can name 5 better RIGHT NOW(not 5 years ago, not syaing these guys are better than Zach ever was but if I'm selecting now...)- Lewis, Vilma, Urlacher, Brooking, Morgan.

Intersting how you skip '98. '98 we were 12-4, you 10-6 and we swept you, '99 it was a 1 game difference and we played the season w/ Rick Mirer and Ray Lucas at QB and oh by the way we swept you again, '00 we swept you but folded late, '01 1 game difference and we swept you again, '02 we won division same record and aplit, '03 we were 6-10 and you finally swept us and last year were swept you again and had 6 more regs season wins. Oh and we have made the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years while you haven't made it since 2001.

I'm not skipping 1998. All I was disputing was your claim that the Jets have been as good or better the last 8 years, which isn't true, unless you're talking just about head-to-head matchups. I was just pointing out that the Dolphins had a better record in a number of those years. I know the Jets were better in 1998. I see you're making the QB excuse for 1999, well guess what, in 2002 we had Ray Lucas as our QB in the second game when we lost by a field goal, a game in which the refs made two very questionable calls in your favor, taking a TD away from Chambers and a fumble by Ricky deep in your territory. Yes, I know the Jets have made the play-offs 3 of the last 4 years; I'm not disputing that. If you want to get really technical about it, if you're saying the last 8 years, is that 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, and 05? Or 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, 03 on 04? Probably should be the latter, since we don't know yet who will be better in 05. And oh yeah what happened in 97? We swept you, made the play-offs, and you guys missed.

Who cares about losing seasons and who cares about the 80s at this point. In recent history we have been better and by the way we have made an AFC Championship game in somewhat recent history and we almost made it last year hwile you guys haven't come close to making a title game since '94.

Oh I get it now! We're all supposed to only be concerned about the specific history that you want us to pay attention to. No one else's points in an argument matter. Okay Napoleon you win pal. Zig Heil!

Questionable maybe but both were the proper calls. My point is we have been w/in a game or 2 of each other for the most part. Whether we have been ahead or yuo ahve been ahaead we have been close. It's not like when we were 4-12, 6-10, 8-8 consistently and you guys were going to the playoffs.

You guys are funny w/ your "winning seasons" as if that defines gratness. It does NOT, winning Championships defines greatness and you have only 1 more than us and haven;t won one in over 30 years.

You play too much Madden...Zach has more heart than all 5 of those guys and if he were a Jet you would be saying the same so crawl out of Vilma's briefs and return to the real world already!..:D

Wow, you realize Brooking doesn't even play MLB anymore right? Vilma? One good rookie season makes him better than Zach who consistenly is making plays every Sunday? Urlacher hasn't done **** lately... I do think Lewis CAN be better than Zach on some Sundays. See a lot of Ray-Ray after his pre-game ballet last Sunday night?... Get your head on straight man.

Okay, now that statement I can agree with.

It's the opposite, if he wasn't a dolphon you'd be writing how overrated he is. I never said he wasn't a good player but he was never great and he certainly is not as good as Vilma now. Vilma still isn't as good as zach at his best but he will be.

You're nuts with the Zach was never great crap!...And he still is great!...If he were on the Jets he would still be one of my favorite players because he has that Pete Rose mentality on the field and those are the types of players I dig. Why would I say he's overreted when he isn't even on the top 100 list? I would be saying the opposite actually.

Why is everyone dissing Rudi ?

I'll admit. I'm biased because he went to my high school, but he IS a good RB.

never said he wasnt good, but if he makes Top 100, Zach makes Top 50, end of story. My point is Zach put in many many good years, how many did Rudi put in to make the Top 100?

I don't think so, your point is not valid, just because he's played well in the past, does not mean he's better than a younger guy who has put in a few less years. My best example would be Willis McGahee vs Bettis, obviously everyone would take McGahee, but he's only started like 12 games, while Bettis has been consistently good throughout his career, but McGahee is a better player right now.
