Zach Thomas left off TSN's top 100 NFL players list

Picking a top 100 players list is stupid anyway...How do you compare a QB to a MLB?...And when you add it up...3 players from every NFL team comes out to 96 players...Zach not being on the top 100 list isn't a big deal really when they're factoring in QB's RB's WR's and everydamnbody. Now if they did a list of the top 50 defensive players then Zach would be on that list.

I don't think so, your point is not valid, just because he's played well in the past, does not mean he's better than a younger guy who has put in a few less years. My best example would be Willis McGahee vs Bettis, obviously everyone would take McGahee, but he's only started like 12 games, while Bettis has been consistently good throughout his career, but McGahee is a better player right now.

I fully agree with your point. Who is the leading the NFL in tackles right now?

He is not even the 2nd best MLB in the divison, he is 3rd behind vilma and Fletcher.

Vilma was better than Zach last year and since that is the only year they have played at the same time that would make him better. I never said he was better than zach at his peak(he will be but not yet) but he is better than the fading Zach.

I can understand you supporting your team and it's players...I don't have his stats...Could you post Vilma's stats from last year...It was his rookie year right?

Questionable maybe but both were the proper calls. My point is we have been w/in a game or 2 of each other for the most part. Whether we have been ahead or yuo ahve been ahaead we have been close. It's not like when we were 4-12, 6-10, 8-8 consistently and you guys were going to the playoffs.

You guys are funny w/ your "winning seasons" as if that defines gratness. It does NOT, winning Championships defines greatness and you have only 1 more than us and haven;t won one in over 30 years.

Um, no one's saying we're great. But more importantly, who could possibly say the Jets are?

Wow man, what did Fletcher do last year, or last week for that matter that Zach didn't? I love how you ride Vilma's jock too, and you say he's better than Zach and all... Like I've said before, I can't wait 'til this Sunday.

P.S. If you don't think Zach is the best MLB in the AFC East, you're delusional.

2004....... Games...Tackles....... TP... Sacks..... PDG..... INT

Thomas.... 13........... 118......... 9....... 2.......... 4.... . 0

Vilma....... 16............. 80......... 5....... 2.......... 2... .. 2

Seems Zach in 3 less games has more tackles, Tackles Per Game), as many sacks, and more P*** Defensed, with INTs being the only category that Vilma out did Zack (maybe Vilma is a better Center field DB then Zack, but not a better M-linebacker).

Judging by those stats I'm not getting how Vilma is better than Zach...Although that's a pretty good rookie year...Of course there are things that don't show up in the box score...And if we add in the intangibles...I'm going with Zach.

Zach was better, Just because Vilma had a great Rookie year (and yes, I agree he did), do not try to say he had a better year then one of the best in the NFL, that is just crazy talk. :D
