Bad Win?

Such pessimistic attitudes despite a WIN!

What will these guys be saying after 15 more "Bad Wins"? Will they say NO WAY they should be in the playoffs due to "Bad Wins"? With an 11-7 record so far under Gases' coaching, I am beginning to wonder what drives the "yes, but..." mentality I see here so often. If we go on to win the SB without a perfect record will they still be saying "yes, but..."?

I'm looking forward to an exciting year. I would be happiest if we won every game by 40 points, but I won't complain if we get into the playoffs by crawling and fighting for every score we make and for every defensive play we make that slows or stops the opposing team. That's what I think football is all about!

Are you kidding? It was a great win. The fact that I think our defense is going to be putrid this season doesn't change the fact that the win itself was great.

I think we can still win 10 games with a lousy defense and have a shot in the playoffs to rematch Pittsburgh. We're very fortunate (in the short term) that the Jets and Bills are both tanking the season.

Looking forward to another good win this weekend vs the Jets, which I think is very likely.

While I will be happier when we start to beat the better teams, we now win games we used to lose, and that's a good start. Good Win, we only gave up 17 points.

you win games like this and wind up with a wildcard spot and getting blown out in the playoffs but at least we got a win against san diego right?

i love me a week 1 w but if you walk away from that game thinking we're "A OK" then you're just fooling yourself....call it a bad win, call it an ugly win, they're both the same damn thing....i feel much better winning a game like that on the road in our first game than i would had that been a home game....

I could swear getting blown out in the playoffs had more to do with us losing our starting QB, Both safeties, DB and Center especially seeing has healthy we beat that same team. So the ugly Cleveland win didn't get us blown out it was the rash of ugly injuries.

Most important fact of the game IMO -- SD already had a reg season game under their belt and with the limited TC now -- that means a lot in the development of a "team." So we were behind the 8 ball -- on the road -- with the BS Timmons thing -- and we found a way to win -- albeit with some assist from their K.

I'm like totally OK with that!

It was a great win in many ways!
